When you think of conceptual, high-fashion photo shoots, you imagine budgets in the tens of thousands of dollars. Turns out, couture shoot concepts don’t have to cost more than $100. Join Amanda Diaz for a hands-on class that will show you how to concept, style, and photograph the images of your dreams.

This course will teach you everything you need to know to create high-fashion looks (including models, props, and locations) on a seriously shoestring budget. You’ll develop the strategies you need to carry out a complete low-cost, high-impact shoot from start to finish. You’ll also learn about creating a consistent, cohesive portfolio and develop ways to express your unique point of view in every image you capture. You’ll examine how a fear of criticism can unduly discourage you in the same way financial constraints do, and how to prevent those fears from holding you back.

From vision boarding to connecting with modeling agencies to shooting for publications and more, you’ll explore the tips and techniques every professional photographer needs to know.

Amanda Diaz is my photography soul sister. 2 lessons in and I've had more confirmation and more questions answered then I have anywhere else. Then she brought up Memoirs of a Geisha and I was done! She's down to earth, artistic and inspiring. From one Canadian Girl to Another, Thanks Amanda!!!!

I LOVE this class! I think Amanda Diaz is the real deal; she's genuine and speaks from her heart. I loved watching her live shoots, they were so informative and well-explained. Also, it was helpful to have her makeup artist and model answer questions and give some feedback. Thank you!

Enjoying this class. Perhaps not one for the people who want direct education, ie “f4, point here, click now” but definitely one for a glass of wine and a “chat” with a very interesting person. Thank you Amanda. Note: lee Jeffries is an awesome British amateur photographer, his images are thought provoking as is his story, he shows all of us what photography CAN still be and do. He is an accountant, but spends his spare time travelling and shooting, donating profits from his images back to the homeless he shoots.

I'm new to photography, and I have always been drawn to ethereal/fantasy style images, so this class was a real eye opener on how to achieve that look. I like that she broke everything down step-by-step.

This is a great class. I love Amanda's style. I've watched a lot of tutorials on Creativelive and I definitely picked up some helpful tips on this one.

I learned so much from this course. It's packed full of information on preparation, shooting and post processing. I particularly enjoyed the instructor's ability to talk through her thought processes when things were working or not. I can't understand the negative reviews as the information provided was so useful and delivered in a no bs manner. This is one to rewatch.

  • Abel R. Jan 11, 2018

The information is solid. i was hesitant to look at this one because of some of the negative reviews but she cuts though the BS and gave a lot of great ideas on how to restart a portfolio and set expectations. BTW i'm a Commercial / Editorial shooter so that's just my two cents.

Wow, I bagged a bargain!! Such quality creative shoots, simple but highly effective lighting set-ups and accompanying post-production editing. Amanda is incredibly genuine in her presentational style; no bells and whistles, she makes no attempt to sale herself, she just lets the photos do the talking and boy they are screaming!! If you see this on sale - buy it! A timeless classic by the CL Team.

Amanda- you. are. AWESOME. I felt like I could really relate to her especially with doing things on a low budget!!! I didn't know you could create all that she did on a small budget! So creative! I've been on the hunt at my local thrift store for goodies for future shoots!

Amanda is down to earth and real. She gives away industry secrets which are very helpful for anyone wanting to get into the fashion beauty industry. Each shoot was different and a lot can be learned about lighting and posing by watching these. Also the information on beauty retouching was very helpful for me. Ive watched her techniques and then practiced then watched again to hone my skills. Thank you Amanda, you have inspired me to work on my portfolio and do some TFP shoots. A few weeks ago I had no idea how to get the ball rolling, but thanks to your course I'm off and running.

Amanda diaz has given me inspiration and purpose. I wake up everyday inspired to create a beautiful image, atleast enough to hold your "aww" for a few seconds. I can relate to Amanda on so many levels as I also found myself in photography and never planned for it. Just like Amanda, I also started from scratch with nobody to help or assist me. If I had found this tutorial a few years ago, it would have speeded up the process of learning. Even today I call myself a professional photographer, this course still had a lot to offer me. I can blab on and on about how much I love and support Amanda diaz, however I will make it short and sweet by saying three simple words, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" www.snipershotsphotography.com https://www.facebook.com/danssnipershots

Amanda's presentation was inspiring and certainly is a skilled photographer. She went into detail in some aspects of the presentation, yet seemed it was difficult to connect with her audience in other scenes. Overall I enjoyed the presentation and would recommend it to others-BB

This was the best creative and most prolific 3 days of a tutorial. Amanda covered the entire spectrum of what every photographer who's trying to become better and bigger go through. I loved the part where she spoke about how to shoot in any lighting situation outdoors and a few indoors. She not only spoke about them, she went into full detail to help the novice or advanced level photog. Despite the tethering issues CL had with Lightroom, Amanda poetically commanded every day of her 3 days. Another point is that she did everything "her way", and not the traditional textbook style of teaching and editing. One prolific point is that NONE of the previous CL instructors touched the issue of drama, unwanted criticisms, or unprofessional things that happen in the industry, however with a brilliant stroke of quiet humility, and courage, Amanda did. I believe it helped everyone realize that no matter what level of photography you're on that it happens and you have to oftentimes "bite your tongue", or "turn the other cheek". It also pointed out that as photographers we should be doing everything to help one another to build our industry, vice tear it down by hurting one another because of the mindset of "competition". Amanda Diaz, and CL I salute and thank you dearly! Semper Fi! Mike www.mikeconphoto.com www.facebook.com/mikeconphotography

Amanda Diaz is HUMBLE and a true ARTIST. For those of us who are more art-minded than techie obsessed, this is a refreshing workshop. I was inspired by her creativity and editing. The retouching part alone is worth the workshop price - talk about simplifying things for a big bang effect! Loved it and so glad I purchased it. Thank you Amanda! ~Susan

Excellent exercise in honing one's creativity on a low budget. I especially loved the post-processing segments. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge with us, Amanda!

Yes, I felt inspired by the class but I want to know how you can make money shooting this style of photography.
