This was a great intro that introduced After Effects very well... I know about After Effects but I watched this video... Thanks

This is exactly what you're looking for if you're an expert designer who wants to learn the UI and basic functions of After Effects. I'd recommend this to anyone. I kind of wish he didn't walk to the monitor for the 8 people in the room so much, but rather used his mouse for the 1,000s of people watching the video. Also, if he pics the "H" radio button on his color picker, he'll get the experience he wants. He was using the color picker on the red channel.

Wonderful After Effects course! He teaches the software so well and in such an easy way, that you will not just know how to but most importantly also 'understand.' I am very happy for the time I invested in this course and I look forward to learn more from him.

A great introduction for designers. This will allow you to get a basic feel for how After Effects works in an easy to understand format.

A bit too much of a beginner course. Would have liked some more small project included, It's not a big course, you can find more cheaper courses with more content. Though you can see the instructor is a professional and everything is explained well.

Yep, it's good! Everything explained well and there was enough information for beginners. Nice lecturer, I'm kinda jelaous, because it seems he really knows A LOT of stuff! I have already taken courses from him and will gladly continue.

I've always wondered why video tutorials don't start with the similarities with other Adobe design apps. Those similarities make the intuitive leaps of learning this new experience much easier. Mr. Converse moves at a comfortable, reassuring pace. Very happy I bought this!

I’ve known for some time that I should learn After Effects, but it seemed so overwhelming and yucky. This course gave me a concise, approachable starting point that gives me the confidence to start making a simple video. I know I’ll learn more as I go. Getting started is the hardest part, and this course has solved that for me. Yay! I especially liked the asides about making the workflow more efficient and about what makes animation more polished. I’d love to see a more in-depth course from this instructor now that I’ve had this taste.

I started out playing with small text animations for my job using Photoshop. After taking this course, I feel much more comfortable and ready to execute my ideas using the Adobe After Effects tool. I highly recommend this course for designers at any level who don't know how to use After Effects. Thank you Chris Converse and CreativeLive for giving me an extra pep in my design skills.

After Effects can be such a tricky program if you never use it. I was very familiar with other Adobe programs, but every time I needed to use After Effects I had no idea what I was doing. I have watched many videos online on how to make things with After Effects, but those videos never taught me how to use the program itself. This class was so great, I now understand how to work with After Effects and it's no longer intimidating! Take this class if you are wanting to learn the basics of After Effects!

The first couple of minute of class where Chris went through and did a 1:1 comparison of Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign --> After Effects had me hooked. That was the one thing that I wasn't getting that was holding me back. The heavens opened, a light shone down, and my mind was opened :) Thanks. It just got more interesting from there!
