Fantastic class! Watching it in 2019 - and still finding relevant. Excellent way to ease photographers into the scary waters of video footage and production... and perfect for somebody who already has some basics to take it up a notch and challenge themselves quite a bit! Loved this class, very helpful.

Some of the reviews had me unsure of purchasing. I'm so glad that I ignored them and went for it. The class was great and I thought the two of them did well together. Very informative and interesting.

I ordered a different video class for photogs and it was way over my head...Thank you for a great class that makes video manageable!

This class is good, and Lindsay and Jeff definitely teach useful stuff, but as far as "keeping it simple", they do none of that. I expected to finish the course with Casey Neistat or Peter McKinnon style videos, but right off the bat they recommended about $20,000 worth of gear, of which only $4,000 is "necessary" to them. Now, personally, that's a lot of money and you can get away with spending much less, but they don't really go into that in detail.

Great introductory program! Gave me confidence to transition into this world. Also, I wish some of the comments had more class. Judge the content for yourselves without such prejudice.

  • Caroline N. Aug 10, 2016

Only half way through so far. Some good information but it's so hard to focus because Jeff interrupts Lindsay every five seconds. Then they just talk over the top of each other until Lindsay finally gives up and let's Jeff say whatever he has to say. It's very unprofessional and distracting...not to mention disrespectful and makes it very hard to watch... :( This class would be way better without the guy...

why do Jeff and Lindsay keep talking over each other? very annoying and difficult to watch. Lindsay doesn't know when to talk and when to keep quiet. She needs to be told

  • Roger` Z. Aug 8, 2016

Excellent instruction and well thought out program presenting info which all video photographers need to consider. Awesome presentation.

  • C. May 29, 2016

Great class for beginners but found it very annoying that Jeff either interrupted or talked over Lindsay.

I bought this class because, I recently bought my first DSLR with filming capabilities. But when I start looking at it and after watching a couple of instructionvideos on YouTube I kinda got overwhelmed. This class broke it all down into clear pieces for me. Lindsay and Jeff have nice and clear teaching style. They covered everything but didn't get to far into the nitty gritty details. They always told how important something was and if you have to do it in a certain way or that is your artistic choice. I certainly can start off with making video with a lot more confidence now. The course is packed with information. It took me much longer then 3 days to watch and take 37 pages of notes!

This great workshop helps me to start a new experience with video, Lindsay and Jeff are so clever with a teaching very easy to follow, now I know the basics to work with movement, I got a new vision on how to take advantage of many years of photography experience, this is a new medium but image itself is the same, I recommend this to any newbie interested on getting a solid base to start.

  • ~. Jul 6, 2014

Great Info for the newbie to video with lots of info on the creative side as well as the technical side. I now realize a lot of things I was doing wrong and I also know what specific new gear I need to achieve the results I want. Time and money well spent.
