Has anyone noticed that the Kick mixing video isn't actually about mixing the Kick....It's about mixing Rooms and Toms....Where is the Kick mixing video?
Excellent course! Some great insight and lots to learn for sure! Recommend this to anyone planning to get into music production.
Great course! Drum section was excellent. That guitar tech needs to take his head out of his arse though.
I am going into trying to produce my own songs and this course really taught me a lot about what I am aiming for in terms of sounds. Gave me a million different methods and ideas to try in all aspects of the process. Is there one course which is going to go into every aspect of every decision in the recording process? Certainly not. Every piece of music is different and has different demands but this course really tries to do that. For me, not having all the best gear to work with and very limited options, I am going to have to decide how to navigate my own issues but at least now, after watching this course, I at least know how professional recording artists achieve such great sounds and gives me at least a sense of direction in diagnosing what my issues are and ways to potentially correct it. Thanks a lot!
This is the most complete about everything about recording a band, eyal is an amazing teacher, highly recommend.
Very highly recommended! Just go for it! very informative and interesting. No BS.
I'm on lesson 19! Already worth every dollar!!! Priceless insight! I have already incorporated some of the ideas (preproduction common sense stuff that I never thought of, but damn). VERY HAPPY with this course! ALWAYS LEARNING and looking forward to the next 50 (or whatever) lessons!!! Excellent course! GREAT PRODUCER/ENGINEER, GREAT DRUM TECH, and GREAT BAND!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
its a good class to expand our knowledge in music and gain much more self development and practice talents
Amazing class, but I cant seem to download any of the bonus material? all the links seem to have expired.
this was the first online class I ever purchased, and it is so well done it, it is so beyond thorough. Ive had this for months, and I'm always discovering new things. It covers so many parts of the mixer/producers journey that I am now in the process of building templates for my DAW so I can rerecord all of my projects for real. I use this class as a bible haha. And definitely am looking forward to Joey Sturgis, I love the Nail the Mix crew
Very good class. WARNING: the skype session is no longer valid (asked Eyal directly). I was really disappointed by that since it's still advertised in the bonuses. They should remove it.
What a great course, really helpful and covers pretty much everything!
Without question, the most comprehensive metal recording and mixing class I've ever seen. On top of that, the bonus content is superb. Do yourself a favor and pick up this bootcamp.
The absolute detail that Monuments and Eyal go through is astonishing. They add so much insight into the recording and mixing process. This series would be great with a less skilled, more basic writing style band but Monuments' Progressive Metal raises so many questions for how it should be recorded and mixed, and this series addresses all of the question you may have had.
So great to be able to see from the inside the amount of work put in to a recording session, this will inspire everyone to up their game!
I'd totally recommend it. In Today's Music as Eyal will explain is very Technical as well as Artistic. Changes constant too so why not go about Constructing it from a EXTREMELY PRO Perspective on EVERYTHING that is involved down to the most mutant details, stages, the Real Importance of Disciple in the Work Place as well as the Magic that happens. Lot goes `into it! Took the Bootcamp blew my mind. You gotta Work at this Course EVERYDAY 5 days a Week. Don't get info overload! Just 30 days and y'all get ALL that your looking for and more really easy in Eyal's Workflow. Serious or Amateur Engineer's or ANY Sound Field person would enjoy this Course!
Eyal Levi does an excellent job walking you through the metal recording process from start to finish. Eyal's ability to explain tricks and insight will help beginners to experts. His attention detail is top notch. Also, you learn how to communicate with a band and get the most out of their playing. The overall value of this boot camp is priceless. Your mix game will improve. Your recording technique will change overnight.
If you are interested in the whole process of making a song from start to finish, this is what you want! an awesome song and teacher.
This is quite possibly the most comprehensive and informative course I've found on Creative Live. Eyal takes you through everything from preparation, to dialing in tones, to tracking, editing, mixing, and mastering. Regardless of if your main focus is metal or not, there is still an immense amount of knowledge condensed into an easy to understand, streamlined format. There are no "trade secrets" kept hidden in this course, you get to see true professionals go through the entire process of making an incredible sounding product.
VALUE. So much info packed into this it's hard to believe. The drum tuning section alone could be its own class. Seeing the actual process of tracking with world class musicians is a whole added dimension to normal recording classes or tutorials, which are more theory than practicum. This class really shows you the details that are missing from other educational materials, which was something I knew I was missing out on. The only way this could be better is if you were actually in the studio alongside them, which is why I'm planning on taking Eyal's URM bootcamp in person when he offers it again. And you get a discount on that bootcamp with this class! This is a must-have for any serious modern metal musician.
Wow is all I can say. This bootcamp goes in so much depth from tuning drums, setting up guitars, to recording and mixing. I have learned so much by participating in this bootcamp. It has taught me some new recording techniques and signal routing for my mixes. I just want to thank Eyal, Monuments, and Creative Live for taking the time to do this. It has been amazing and I will keep going back to these videos.
The most comprehensive course about metal tracking and mixing. Newbies will benefit from the level of details and easy of understanding. Advanced engineers will benefit from learning from Eyal's point of view. I also believe that people interested in other music genres will benefit from many ideas presented in this course.
It's insane how much stuff is packed in here, the video content alone is well worth the price and the bonuses are amazing. I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting to learn on this subject. . This will teach you everything!
I can't believe the amount of information this class comes with. It is well worth every penny and you will gain more information for what its worth. Thank you Eyal and Creativelive
Eyal did a really awesome job with this class. It covers everything. The level of structure, professionalism, and attention to detail needed to put out a pro recording is well displayed here. Everything from Pre-Pro, to the discussions with the techs, the approach to recording, gear shootouts, mixing, etc... really in depth stuff. Definitely helpful for Producers and Bands alike. Plus, the bonuses alone are well worth the price of this class. I highly recommend this course.
