    Great work!

AWESOME. So creative and so relevant in food photography. The models also do match with the style of the restaurant. Color pallet and shadows got my attention in this photo shoot. Thanks!

I have a feeling that I lived through a story together with the presenters. This class gives a great insight into the food photographer's life - good practical aspect of how everything is working around. Many valuable tips and definitively inspirational ideas. Thank you!

This course is excellent! I liked it so much. I got a lot of ideas. And, compared to other courses from other companies this one makes it easy to follow. And, of course the instructors are fantastic. They have the charisma I like to see in an instructor. Thanks!

Really engaging, personable and practical approach to teaching. It's often easy to forget that photography should be a fun activity when we're obsessing over getting 'a perfect shot'. Todd and Diane's advice is extremely practical, appliable and helpful. I absolutely loved watching and listening to them, and my photography, styling and preparatory skills have vastly improved since taking this course.

It is difficult to review this couple, she is very present but thats for a reason. She is amazing for her vision at styling. He is mostly repeating her ideas and comments. So a big tip: if he can be more focussing on the techinal details for example, lenses, aperture etc. (similar like the internet questions) this course can be one of the best courses.

  • Amanda . Mar 29, 2019

Really enjoyed watching how Todd and Diane work. Got a lot of inspiration for food styling, lighting options (especially learning to play with different angles), creating variations in mood and emotional connections.

I took this class thinking I would pursue food photography, and while I decided my passion doesn't lie here I learned so much about photography, passion and seeing the unique in everything. I appreciate that this class was more about seeing and learning than the technical aspects (which are learned by practice anyway). Thank you.

I had to leave a review to cancel the negative reviews. This course is the best Food Photography on Creative Live. So many tips and tricks are shared on any aspect of food photography and their style is great too! FYI: the actual lessons start from video 8!

this is a very interesting class, ive learned so much!

  • Danielle J. Jul 4, 2018

I could watch them shoot all day. In fact, I did. I loved hearing their thought process and constant reminders about the position and state of the natural light.

Great class! To those complaining about them showing videos of them photographing chefs. Did you even watch the rest of the class?! And if you are wondering about camera settings, take a beginners photography course. There are plenty on here. When I watch these classes on Creative Live I am not sitting around wondering what f-stop, shutter speed, or ISO they are at. That is all determined by what the light they are shooting with at the moment. If you see the resulting photo and its a shallow depth of field, you can bet they're shooting at a lower f-stop. If you see plenty of the shot in focus, they're shooting higher. Simple as that. You decide what you want your camera settings to be and go with that. Focus on just watching the class, seeing how they style the food, compose the shots, and edit. Also, take plenty of notes. I learned a lot from this class, much more than from Andrew Scrivani's, and the pictures they took were just incredible. I also like their style much better too.

I loved this class and how Todd and Diane taught it. It was very personal and inspiring, with lots of insight and tips. This is not a camera technical class, but more an artistic, motivational and visual food photography learning environment. Their examples on how to set up scenes and stories behind the food and people involved are very enlightening. They gave me a lot of great ideas and hope that I, one day, will become as good of a photographer as they both are. Great team!!!!

They are so down to earth and amazing Teachers!!

  • Miyuki M. Dec 17, 2016

All round great break down of course material, with down to earth presenters. Imagery is great, and their ability to work as a team without egos is admirable. My only concern is that unless you have the high end camera, you will need a flash to deal with the lighting conditions in restaurants, and when you are starting out you are not going to have access to a D4. More information about the business side of things would be good too, pricing structures for food photography - for different types of clients? how to approach clients or making decisions about the types of clients you want to work with? - but maybe that needs to be addressed in another course. It seems that the students aren't asking that many questions either. Otherwise a great introduction to food photography and styling.

Diane and Todd are amazing! They've held nothing back when giving the rest of us an honest, detailed look into what it means to be a food photographer. I've seen many seminars on the topic from different companies and photographers and this one is my favourite. I love their no fuss approach to food photography. It leaves me feeling like food photography is manageable without having to fuss with cameras and lighting gear that are outside of my budget. I love that Diane often mentions how there's more to food photography than the plated dish. And Todd is just adorable and has the cutest laugh! They're a fantastic team that are engaging and make it easy to learn from them. Highly recommend purchasing this course!

This is very interestung thing i'ved ever learned!!!1

  • Rossana N. Sep 19, 2016

Although I've enjoyed this course I feel it is more about listening and watching their stories about their work than anything else. I would of liked to have learned more about the technical bits, camera settings they use and more informative on the business side. I must add that Todd and Diane are lovely and even though I didn't get what I wished out of the class I got an insight into their work behinds the scenes, which was interesting.

  • G. Aug 25, 2016

I thought this was a great class. I really enjoyed their teaching style and got a lot of useful information to help me pursue and improve my food photography. Definitely well worth the money!

  • Nawal H. Jun 28, 2016

  • G. Jun 27, 2016

What a great course. This couple really knows their business and teach it so very well. I loved the class.

  • Suzanne Y. Mar 31, 2016

I tuned into this course out of curiosity and ended up staying up all night to watch it to the end. Todd and Diane shoot a variety of scenes--tabletop, restaurant, detail, environment and portrait. I don't plan on becoming a food photographer, but the restaurant shoot got me thinking about ways to approach environmental portraiture. I love that they work with minimal gear, and their personal stories about working in the field are very inspiring.
