Julia Kelleher does a super great job in this class of relating to her audience. Her information doesn't presume prior knowledge. She breaks down technical information in a way that makes the viewers feel smart. She assumes an intelligent, artistically-minded viewer, which is a great, positive quality. Kelleher's review of the iPhone 7 and 7+ is in depth.. Every point is demonstrated on camera. I had my camera out in order to follow along and feel that I learned a lot, even though I thought I had all this down. This course offers a lot of value, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to take better photographs with their Apple iPhone 7 or 7+.
I would have welcomed a class on shooting video with the iPhone. I teach video production in college and although we have access to professional equipment, many students choose to shoot with iPhones, for convenience, and access to places. Some of what they shoot is impressive. Sound is always a problem with the iPhone, and I insist they do not shoot in automatic. So yes, a class on shooting "professional quality" video with the iPhone would be most useful.
I recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 from a different brand of phone. This was a great introduction to the features of the iPhone. Tips on how to use the auto exposure lock and the exposure slider were worth the price of admission for me.
There was a lot of talk about the features, but only a few demonstrations of using them. For a lot of the features, there is nothing that the photographer does to make them happen. They just are. It might have been good to show some comparison photos between an earlier iPhone and a new 7+ so we could see what these new features accomplish. It was cheap ($19), so I think I got my money's worth and that's why I'm recommending it, but if you're looking for a lot of new info on things to try, you won't learn it here.
I thought I knew how to use my iPhone camera since I have owned them since the first model was released. Man was I wrong. Within the first 10 minutes, I had already learned new tips and tricks I didn't even knew existed on my phone!!! The value and content just kept coming through the entire class. Now I feel like I can take stellar pictures for both my personal and business use. I would recommend this quick class to anyone with an iPhone and loved that I could digest the content over my lunch break instead of having to set aside an entire afternoon.
Thank you so much for that iPhone lesson. Purchased the 7plus for the picture capability. I did learn what I consider important info. Would have liked to hear about the clip on lens. Look forward to more lessons!
Loved the course and learned a lot! Please send the website Julia gave at the beginning of the session re shooting in camera raw. I only got the www.jewel.education part of the website. Thanks you so much, Ilene Africk shecanery@hotmail.com
This class has great info on the iphone7/7+ and photo taking in general. Helped me understand why I am not getting some of the shots, I was hoping to get with my iPhone 7+. Excited to shoot some photographs now that those questions have been answered.
This is awesome! Not only does Julia teach how to use the iPhone 7/7+ to take great pics, but also video (and even a live Facebook Live demo) which is applicable for personal and business! Talk about how to promote yourself! This class makes me feel more equipped to succeed in business! And get my pics off my phone and into my life! Thanks Julia! You've done it again!
