iPhone Photography: What’s New in the iPhone 18 Series — A Pre‑Series Technical Briefing

Free Seminar Live Online

This opening session is dedicated entirely to the new iPhone 18 camera systems. It is not a general photography class. It is a focused, technical walkthrough of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Apple's first foldable, the iPhone Ultra, designed to give photographers a clear understanding of what's new, what's improved, and what these changes mean for real-world shooting.

We will cover the iPhone 18 Pro Max in detail: the new chipset and what it unlocks for speed and computational photography, the new 6× optical zoom and how it expands shooting range, and the variable-aperture main camera that changes depth control and portrait performance. We will also touch on improvements such as the smaller Dynamic Island, better battery life, and the updated modem expected across the lineup.

We will then shift to the iPhone Ultra, Apple's first foldable. We will outline the early details: a two-lens camera system, a large inner display for editing, a smaller outer display for quick shooting, Pencil support, and a workflow similar to other foldables on the market. This portion is based on current industry leaks and expectations, as Apple has not confirmed final specifications.

This October 1 session is the pre-series launch. This session is designed to give you a clear, honest, photographer-focused understanding of the iPhone 18 series so you can decide how these updates fit into your own shooting workflow.

This class includes a dedicated 30 minutes of Q&A directly with Jack Hollingsworth.
