Amanda Diaz's DIY Fashion Photography Gear Guide

[caption id="attachment_6383" align="alignnone" width="620"]fashion photography DIY Image: Amanda Diaz[/caption] DIY fashion is as much about style as it is about saving some scratch, but DIY fashion photography? That's a whole other ballgame. Fashion photographer Amanda Diaz believes that a couture editorial shoot shouldn't cost an arm and a leg -- in fact, it doesn't need to cost more than $100. And as far as what's in Amanda's hands? Well, that doesn't need to have a lot of bells and whistles, either. "Honestly, I have never been into gear," Amanda told SLR Lounge in an interview. "I have come to love a couple specific lenses, a camera that takes decent quality shots and have learned to use light as it’s available." For her CreativeLive class on DIY editorial and fashion photography, Amanda will be using her trusty Cannon 5D Mark II, and two lenses: a Canon 85mm f/1.2 L lens, and a Canon 50mm f/1.2 L lens.
