BRILLIANT!!!!
This was a great intro that introduced After Effects very well... I know about After Effects but I watched this video... Thanks
For anyone having to create a poster or a book cover or anything creative with Photoshop, this is a great course. I refer back to it again and again when I start some of my projects.
good thank you
Thank you for this class. It has been very helpful in helping me understand the concept of AE and pushing me pass my fears of this platform. I have shared this with others because I truly find it amazing.
I am struggling a bit with this course, especially with 3D; I think my After Effects might be more up-to-date than the one that Jeff is working with.
This is exactly what you're looking for if you're an expert designer who wants to learn the UI and basic functions of After Effects. I'd recommend this to anyone. I kind of wish he didn't walk to the monitor for the 8 people in the room so much, but rather used his mouse for the 1,000s of people watching the video. Also, if he pics the "H" radio button on his color picker, he'll get the experience he wants. He was using the color picker on the red channel.
This is a great class! Very cool how he used After Effects with Photoshop to create those effects. This definitely helped me understand more on how to collaborate between Adobe softwares to create some great artwork. Also, he teaches very well, making learning new things very easy.
Wonderful After Effects course! He teaches the software so well and in such an easy way, that you will not just know how to but most importantly also 'understand.' I am very happy for the time I invested in this course and I look forward to learn more from him.
I am watching ad re-watching this. the great part of video is that you can scroll backwards and forwards. And it has to be said: Chad Perkins is a really good teacher!
Does this teacher have a Facebook group so I can ask questions about using the software? Abba Shapiro does, and he has helped quite a bit.
I have been wanting to learn After Effects for over a year to animate certain elements which I then plan to include in a Premiere Pro film project. I had anticipated that the learning curve would be steep and wasted hours trying to figure out the basics of this program thru other online sources & my own trial and error. Hence, I had to to submit the project and take some shortcuts which are barely satisfactory. Fortunately, it was a class assignment and I got an A anyway, although now that the semester is over, I have the luxury of going back, learning properly and perfecting my project. I am so thrilled to be able to learn this way and am only at the 5 lesson.
A great introduction for designers. This will allow you to get a basic feel for how After Effects works in an easy to understand format.
I bought this over a year ago when it was over $50 and it was still worth every penny then. I'm a videographer that knows Adobe Premier Pro and I wanted to understand After Effects more to make information, figures, stats in videos more engaging. Chad is really enthusiastic, passionate about what he does and he doesn't waffle. After watching this i'm now confident to put this in practise. Highly recommended.
Great way to start learning After Effects. Very clear explanations and easy to follow instructions. Recommended!
It's a good basic course about After Effects. As part of the subscrubtion this is a nice course. For a fullprice course there courses available witrh more content, lessions available on other platforms. The course is aimed at absolute beginners. Its not a complete course.
After mastering Illustrator, Photoshop, Première Pro, the next challenge is After Effects for motiongraphics and animation. The instructior is engaging and help you build both your skills for the program. But also explains you how to get the most out of the program. It's easier when you know other Adobe Programs already. It's also nice to have projectfiles so you learn by doing.
A bit too much of a beginner course. Would have liked some more small project included, It's not a big course, you can find more cheaper courses with more content. Though you can see the instructor is a professional and everything is explained well.
Yep, it's good! Everything explained well and there was enough information for beginners. Nice lecturer, I'm kinda jelaous, because it seems he really knows A LOT of stuff! I have already taken courses from him and will gladly continue.
I've always wondered why video tutorials don't start with the similarities with other Adobe design apps. Those similarities make the intuitive leaps of learning this new experience much easier. Mr. Converse moves at a comfortable, reassuring pace. Very happy I bought this!
I’ve known for some time that I should learn After Effects, but it seemed so overwhelming and yucky. This course gave me a concise, approachable starting point that gives me the confidence to start making a simple video. I know I’ll learn more as I go. Getting started is the hardest part, and this course has solved that for me. Yay! I especially liked the asides about making the workflow more efficient and about what makes animation more polished. I’d love to see a more in-depth course from this instructor now that I’ve had this taste.
Chris is really a great teacher: the after effects tricks explained in this class are very interesting indeed!
I really enjoyed this course! As a self-taught After Effects user, this was great if you want to cover the basics and understand the program even more. I also enjoyed Chad's obvious enthusiasm for After Effects and his energy. Definitely felt like I took away some useful tips for my workflow!
