About the Instructor / Sobre el Instructor Mi historia con la fotografía comenzó mucho antes de pensar que algún día sería mi profesión. Mi abuelo paterno llevaba siempre una cámara con él: a cada reunión familiar, a cada viaje, a cada momento importante. De niño lo veía fotografiarlo todo y después observaba cómo, en la sala de su casa, familiares y amigos se reunían a ver sus álbumes. Me fascinaba ver cómo una fotografía podía hacer que las personas revivieran emociones, rieran, recordaran. Fue él quien, de niño, me regaló mi primera cámara. Desde entonces, la fotografía ha sido parte de mi vida. A lo largo de los años también tuve otra gran pasión: la música. Durante un tiempo fui DJ profesional en uno de los clubs más reconocidos de México. Después inicié una carrera en la industria de la tecnología, trabajando durante más de tres décadas con empresas como Dell y Autodesk. Las cuales invirtieron mucho en mi educación. Ahí aprendí no solo a vernder, sino a cómo dar un servicio de calidad de mis clientes. Pero la fotografía siempre estuvo ahí. Un encuentro fortuito con fotógrafos de National Geographic a principios de los 90 me motivó a dar un paso más y comprar mi primera cámara profesional. Desde entonces comencé a fotografiar cada vez más, primero por pasión… y luego también como profesión. Tomé cursos y talleres con National Geographic y varios fotógrafos reconocidos mundialmente. Me uní a asociaciones como WPPI y Fearless Photographers. Toda esta experiencia logró que me invitaran a dar charlas y talleres a diversas asociaciones en todo el país, incluyendo Canon Mexicana. Durante muchos años combiné mi carrera corporativa con la fotografía, hasta que en 2019 decidí dedicarme por completo a documentar historias. Mi abuelo paterno llevaba siempre una cámara con él: a cada reunión familiar, a cada viaje, a cada momento importante. De niño lo veía fotografiarlo todo y después observaba cómo, en la sala de su casa, familiares y amigos se reunían a ver sus álbumes. Me fascinaba ver cómo una fotografía podía hacer que las personas revivieran emociones, rieran, recordaran. Fue él quien, de niño, me regaló mi primera cámara. Desde entonces, la fotografía ha sido parte de mi vida. A lo largo de los años también tuve otra gran pasión: la música. Durante un tiempo fui DJ profesional en uno de los clubs más reconocidos de México. Después inicié una carrera en la industria de la tecnología, trabajando durante más de tres décadas con empresas como Dell y Autodesk. Las cuales invirtieron mucho en mi educación. Ahí aprendí no solo a vernder, sino a cómo dar un servicio de calidad de mis clientes. Pero la fotografía siempre estuvo ahí. Un encuentro fortuito con fotógrafos de National Geographic a principios de los 90 me motivó a dar un paso más y comprar mi primera cámara profesional. Desde entonces comencé a fotografiar cada vez más, primero por pasión… y luego también como profesión. Tomé cursos y talleres con National Geographic y varios fotógrafos reconocidos mundialmente. Me uní a asociaciones como WPPI y Fearless Photographers. Toda esta experiencia logró que me invitaran a dar charlas y talleres a diversas asociaciones en todo el país, incluyendo Canon Mexicana. Durante muchos años combiné mi carrera corporativa con la fotografía, hasta que en 2019 decidí dedicarme por completo a documentar historias. Hoy fotografío bodas, quinceañeras y eventos sociales y corporativos, con la misma idea que aprendí desde niño: capturar momentos reales para que las personas puedan volver a sentirlos muchos años después.
