This simple DIY project has brought me so much joy. It fills our guest room with a touch of gold and sense of peace and rest.

“When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
What ever my lot you have taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul”

– Horatio G. Spafford, 1873

I’m sure you crafty bunch won’t need instructions for this project, but I’ll list them here anyways! You could of course use the same technique for any phrase. Let your imagination run free!

Materials:

– wooden letters
– my favorite gold spray paint
– 3m mini command strips
– level, ruler and pencil (optional)

Step 1: Place the letters on a large piece of scrap paper (newspaper would work well). Spray paint them making sure to get all the sides.

Step 2: Use a ruler, level and pencil to plot the letters on the wall. Eyeball it if you wish!

Step 3: Place a small 3m strip on the back of each letter. Place firmly on the wall and hold for 60 seconds (follow package instructions)
