Nice sized chunks of training. This class is definitely worth it. Nicely done, and easy to understand. Great personality.

  • Thea M. Jan 16, 2024

The simplicity of the things to play with in front of the lens and in the scene was a good reminder that it doesn't have to cost a lost and it doesn't have to be complicated. Fun to watch!

  • Teddy B. Sep 1, 2023

I really enjoyed the light sculpting part which the explanation of the different types of modifiers and how he finally put it all together. Thanks you CreativeLive and Erik Valind for a nice and short class in light sculpting. Can someone refer another class that could be the next level of light from this call? @CreatLive @ Erik Valind or any students who seen this class and would like to share their knowledge on the next class? I'd appreciate it!

  • Mark L. Oct 22, 2022

It is a great class, learned so much, and not long and drawn out. 5 stars from Scotland :)

  • terri H. Jun 8, 2022

this class opened up a whole new world of creativity for me! thanks so much it was very enjoyable to learn.

  • Marija R. Apr 23, 2022

Just what I needed, thank you, Ben! Short, concize, relevant, to just take it and run to the next project!

  • Lola S. Mar 30, 2022

I love the creativity this instructor brings. It has inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try different props.

  • Lisa L. Mar 28, 2022

Loved the class! Although I noticed some comments about how fast the class went, as a proficient PSCC user, It was a great pace. It definitely added a few tools to the toolbox.

  • Karen W. Mar 6, 2022

Very informative class! He is easy to listen to and made using strobes understandable! Highly recommend!

  • Tim O. Mar 2, 2022

Course was a bit rushed and Ben seemed to skim over quite a lot of advanced techniques. Great for an overview of green screen compositing but not if you wanted to fully learn how to do it from start to finish. Ben's final image composites didn't really blend between subject and background compared to his highly polished work on his website.

  • Mia J. Dec 23, 2021

This was an excellent class. I really wanted some simple photoshop techniques to add to my portrait work and this was perfect. I learned more about masking, layers, creating extra light and balancing my images. Jackie has a great simple lesson on composite photography at the end for a beginner. If you are looking for easy and immediately applicable upgrades to your portraiture work, this is it.

  • k P. Dec 8, 2021

Great class, very helpful. But HOLY COW!! She goes way too fast. Both talking and mouse. A great deal of the time she doesn't explain what she is doing; just assumes you know what she means. I had to stop the class and rewind every 2 seconds just to catch what she did and write down everything because it was soooo difficult to follow.

  • David M. Nov 4, 2021

Excellent presentation, fast paced and clear. I was disappointed that he did not cover the technique for getting the image that advertises the class.

  • D. Oct 19, 2021

Erik is concise, approachable and effective with his teaching style. This class had the perfect tempo yet covered some of the most important concepts and things that people usually struggle with (aka me) which is mixing ambient light with flash. Superb class, superb teacher.

  • Dominika C. Sep 20, 2021

Amazing class! Straight to the point, well presented, easy to follow and apply. Totally recommend it!

  • Yo P. Sep 11, 2021

Great Class! Love how easily she brings life to a any photo. A little too fast, but, you can replay along the way. Learned alot. Worth revisiting the entire class. Yolanda

  • Michelle M. May 25, 2021

I love that this is a quick class yet I learned so many new things. Jackie did a great job presenting the material. Highly recommend this class.

  • Michael E. May 23, 2021

dave's passion is evident through his excellent work= grat insights and many tips will be used by me

  • Lisa D. Mar 29, 2021

He simplifies each lighting demo and breaks it down easily for anyone to understand. He uses mostly one light set ups and there is a 2 light setup. Real simple! This class is worth the money.

  • Chaiko M. Jan 26, 2021

Very informative and pleasant to watch!

  • Lucien L. Dec 26, 2020

The course was good. I learned a few tricks. I think the instructor was going too fast when using Photoshop.

  • Stavroula F. Nov 23, 2020

Great instructor and great class. She really breaks it down so you can grasp the small steps that lead to the end result.

  • Elzi B. Nov 22, 2020

it's fast but I like that. I have had to replay moments multiple times as I am not an expert in PS, but overall this is a great bang for the buck!

  • Daniel H. Oct 11, 2020

Erik is an incredible teacher. He is very humble and able to transmit all his knowledge in a very easy way, the course flow very well and is a combination of theory, practice and real studio issues. So happy by buying this class.

  • G. Sep 28, 2020

I was expecting something a little more advanced, but I did learn a couple new tricks I can use in the future. This is a great course for a beginner, but not if you have been using Photoshop for a few years.
