The podcast is revolutionizing storytelling, and you want to be a part of it all. But do you have what it takes? First off, where will you find the time and money to pull it off? Do you have the technical know-how to record, edit and get your podcast out there? And how will you tell compelling stories that grab listeners attention and keep them coming back for more?

This first-ever CreativeLive Podcasting Week is designed to help you find success in this growing sphere. You’ll spend five days with some of the most accomplished podcasters in the business, learning everything you need to know to create and produce fascinating stories that people want to hear.

Each day will cover a different theme, with instructors guiding you through every step of the process—from pre-production to building an audience—to ensure your success. Over the course of the week, you’ll learn how to:

  • Understand the podcasting landscape and where you fit in.
  • Figure out your budget and ways to monetize your efforts.
  • Come up with interesting topics to cover and guests to interview.
  • Tell your story in a compelling way to get people hooked.
  • Mix and edit your audio for maximum impact.
  • Get your podcast on the air and sustain it as a weekly podcast.
  • Find a reliable audience through advertising, PR and social media.

Thank Ray. Very helpful for me!

  • Jennifer . Jul 18, 2024

This is an incredible podcast!! Danielle LaPorte is an amazingly honest woman who thinks deeply about life and our world. I am so grateful that I ran across this podcast today! I hope many people get to hear this.

  • Shelley R. Sep 2, 2022

I love that not only was Dan easy to listen to, he was practical and provided a great frame to keep going back to. As a pedagogical coach - KUDOS for modeling effective instruction!

  • Abisoye A. Jun 30, 2022

Dan highlighted the items that we overlook over time and it was awesome to note these things. I will totally recommend this course. Thank you, Dan!

  • Angelo S. Feb 5, 2022

Jeff definitely communicates the ideas very well and he is a compelling storyteller. The course offers many useful concepts. However, in my opinion, these little nuggets of insight are strewn about in layers that will have to be discovered as one gains more experience and spends more time honing their craft. I feel, for example, that while I picked up a lot on the techniques, many more aha moments will come about as I keep at it and encounter moments that I will connect back to these lessons. Then I would have peeled away another layer and deepened my understanding. This is a course that will continue to hold value long after you've completed it.

  • Laura H. Dec 27, 2021

loved the insights from inside Jordan's actual podcasting operations. Where else do you get a glimpse into the very documents and notebooks of one of the best podcasters around?

  • Jimmy W. Dec 15, 2021

Straight and to the point without sound engineer jargon. Great class!

  • Shevonne P. Aug 15, 2021

This was a great class on how to improve your podcasting sound. Some of my reviews have been bad due to the sound, so this really helped me understand that I need to record in another place and make sure that I focus on exterior and interior sound.

  • Janeen S. Jul 7, 2021

Very engaging speaker with terrific insight that still feels relevant today. Excellent high-level overview with great, practical tips throughout.

  • Ashley P. Jul 5, 2021

I've just started a podcast - Beyond the mountains podcast. I am really enjoying the process. This is a great class for anyone who wants to become a better interviewer. I am 6 episodes in and I am learning that the magic starts about 15mins into the interview. Now I am trying to be an active listener and just have the courage to go off script and see where the conversation goes. This is a good class for any podcasters and interviewers.

  • Ara F. Mar 24, 2021

    Thank you. A helpful introduction!

  • Bex D. Feb 2, 2021

This was the first Creative Live course I've taken and it was such a clear and quick overview which has really motivated - thank you so much!

  • Morgan C. Jan 26, 2021

Succinct and helpful information. I listened to the entire course in the morning and have a full page of notes with helpful takeaways.

  • Zuri W. Jan 5, 2021

I absolutely love this podcast. Alexandra is very refreshing to watch. She speaks a little fast but she is far from boring to listen too. She's short and to the point and very funny. I did a podcast before I watched her and regret not hearing her first, it would of saved me a lot of time. Anybody looking for a short class with A LOT of useful information...this is it!

  • Mathieu L. Dec 28, 2020

Never heard of that guy before watching that course and I LOOOOVEEE that he teach practical stuff and help us with the 'system' and 'procedure'. REALLY interesting

  • Kip M. Nov 3, 2020

Great course. Love the explanations accompanying the tutoring. FYI, the time stamp for class number eight is wrong. It's about nine-and-a-half minutes.

  • Ladonna A. Sep 13, 2020

This was the first course I took on Podcasting and I am really glad I chose this one. It was just enough information to get me excited and take the leap! Thank you so much!

  • Damian D. Aug 11, 2020

Great instructor, knowledgeable and very clear in delivery. No jargon, all terminology explained and demonstrated. One minor niggle is that the course is really like a chapter of a larger course and it's a little too thin on content to really "stand on its own". Overall, a good course, well delivered but a little light on content

  • Lill Øyunn N. Jul 4, 2020

This course was exactly what I was looking for. I have done some podcasting but I needed the structure which I found in this class. I loved that it wasn't twenty-odd episodes and that it was informative and to the point.

  • M. May 14, 2020

Thank you for the class. I am grateful to have received vital information pertaining to the layout of podcasting (ideas, intentions, technological aspects, industry, etc.). As a beginner, the talking points created ease and clarity for the next steps, while inspiring me to continue to push out content. Ms. Shapiro is thorough and seems honest, I most certainly learned a lot and will use the information as resources for future planning and application. Take care

  • LInda M. Apr 27, 2020

I really enjoyed this class. She was so honest and warm and shared a lot of useful content. Thank you so much Tania.

  • justSayITBeth . Apr 21, 2020

Authentically and clearly shared his experience with practical tips: extremely helpful.

  • Alex M. Apr 10, 2020

I really appreciated the overview of the original steps taken by Kristina & Cal to flesh out their idea. This was a great fly-on-the-wall type conversation to have sat through! There were plenty of gems along the way if you are like me, just at the initial stages of an idea for podcasting. A fabulously enriching way to spend just under an hour and a half!

  • nassimah F. Apr 2, 2020

Wonderful class and absolutely loved Tania and her passion for her craft.
