This is a wonderful class, with lots of important and very usefull information and tips, presented thoroughly by an excellent and charismatic teacher. I have learned many things but most importantly i have found answers to many questions about tools and methods and helped me settle my information and knowledge in order so I can make use of them in practise, not only in restoring old photos but in retouching in general. Thank you!!!

This course changed my attitude toward landscape photography from the composition to retouching. Made drastic improvement on my photographs!

Great class! Lots of useful information. However, I'm not sure what version of Lightroom he is using because I just downloaded the latest version from the app store in Sept. 2021 and the menu options are totally different. It does not give me the option to create a catalogue.

Excellent Teacher- I will be doing more of his training, he is always surprising me with his knowledge. He has lifted my spirits to dive into working with my clients old photos with enthusiasm . I will have to re-watch his lessons and find some of my photos to work with. I was needing more advanced training in restoring & color correcting of old photos. Most teachers- teach the basics to med, but Ben goes beyond. Ben demonstrates other ways of fixing difficult color problems, whereas, I would have taken it into camera Raw- to bring out more detail before turning it into a B&W. His knowledge, will improve my skill and workflow. Thanks to the other people who have brought in old photos to you. I have encountered similar problems, with no clue how to fix them or it took me the long way around the barn to get it done. Even when I have watched a few of his other training courses, he still throws in some restoration problems & fixes, which helps me a lot. Thank you Ben and CreativeLive.

Ben has great teaching skills (despite that sometimes he adds too much redundancy), I loved the course and I learnt a lot. Having said that, be aware that the title of the course is completely wrong. This is a generic Lightroom course (and a bit of Photoshop), not something really specific on outdoor and travel photography.

Very good course. The teacher is very good. The issue is that this course is getting outdated and should be updated for year 2021.

I cannot recommend this class enough! I've been a photographer for 11 years & am very skilled with Photoshop, but have always been extremely frustrated by Lightroom. Ben's thorough explanations of how to quickly use tools in Lightroom, as well as organize your files, keyword finished photos to easily & quickly find them again, the different ways to move photos into Photoshop for further editing, & (possibly most importantly) WHY it's advantageous to do things this way, got me to change my workflow almost entirely. Even though I have used Photoshop extensively for years, I still managed to learn things from him for editing there as well. Ben goes through gear, tools for planning trips, tips for shooting, & a workflow for importing, editing, & organizing your images. The only thing that I wish would have been added in was exporting photos in Lightroom. Although I've figured out my own process for it, I would be highly curious to see Ben's process & hear his explanations of all the different options. All that being said, Ben offers SO much in this course & I cannot wait to take more classes from him!

Complete advanced Photoshop Course form an absolute pro teacher. Lots of small details so there is something for everybody included. Even for people with years of Phtoshop Experience.

This course needs updating...we're way past PS 14.2 now.

Good class as an add-on after taking Ben's Advanaced PS Class 2 - very worth the time. Especially lesson 5, makes the entire class very worthwhile. His technique works SO MUCH BETTER than Match Color under Image Adjustment menu.

You can't go wrong with any one of Ben's classes but this is one of my favorites. He presents so much usable information and, as always, does it in a clear down-to-earth manner that makes it very easy to assimilate. Highly recommended.

Ben does a solid job of explaining when to use Lightroom and when to use Photoshop and how to move seamlessly between the two. He chooses simple but memorable examples to illustrate his talk.

Great course, very informative. Just would off been heaps better if Ben referred to Lightroom rather than Camera Raw.

Ben Willmore is such a great teacher, Clear, to the point and with a bit of humor. Even though this course is somewhat old(er), almost everything still applies. Packed with lots of useful tips and tricks.

Don't be put off by the title 'Essentials' cause it does cover a huge amount of subjects. By the way ... I've never seen 'Curves' so well explained as Ben does over here. Love the way he teaches. Highly recommended!!
