  • Great class

  • Great class!

  • Real Great Course. I learned a lot about Music Theory and now am jamming better than ever on my keyboard. Thanks Allen

  • I just wanna echo what the other reviewers have said. I've been looking for a while for a course, teacher program that can fill the gap and connect the dots to the fundamentals you need to address, i've tried various well known programs and forums but nothing has laid things out so clearly and concisely as Isaac Cotects programs have, a great place to start from to become a better producer and mix engineer. Obv this is a few years old now and things have evovled since then, instead of the eq matching you could try something likr room correction, i've used it for a few year but all this time my monitors were not calibrated properly and i was mixing too quiet! ;'( These programs have all the steps you need to level up your mixing and production game.

  • Great teacher, teachings, very inspiring, and more than i expected!!! Thanks Isaac and Creativelive for this!

  • Great course!

  • AMAZING COURSE!

  • Isaac is the man! He is such a great teacher and you can tell has full control over the information. I already feel like I am many steps above friends who have used ableton for years because of this course setting a foundation for me to learn and experiment. Thank you Isaac and crew!

  • Wow, this course has been so helpful for me. I've always been frustrated as a musician with the production aspect and this course has given me the tools to overcome those roadblocks and get to making music. This course helped me in ways I could have never expected: I don't even have Ableton Live, I use a different DAW, but I was able to apply everything to what I have and learn more about my own DAW capabilities in the process. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to get into producing music. Fantastic.

  • Очень круто, понятно и полезно! Исак крут!

  • I'm not an electronic musician. I'm an amateur choral singer and tried. the oboe for a little while. But this (and the previous course) are mostly applicable across the (key)board. This is the music theory course I neglected to take in high school and college. Great stuff well presented.

  • Not just for Electronic Musicians! I am a Jazz singer and have always had to depend on musicians to collaborate on song writing. I am beginning to write and arrange my own songs using a DAW and this class was PERFECT for me. Jamming with real musicians is always fun but I can now use a DAW to visualize the theoretical aspects of harmony in a totally different way than on an instrument or on the music staff, and without the frustration of not being able to remember my chord positions on the piano. Just what I needed to really be able to get a running start with songwriting!

  • Well, I slobbered all over you after your first class and this one is as good or better. I realize people don't go to college for 12 years and learn what you shared in a few hours and you didn't earn your doctorate with just this stuff. I mean Julliard must offer a lot more, but you have advanced my knowledge by miles and I've got to say thank you. Make some more of these simple, common talk courses - I'll buy them all.

  • Wow, this course deserves more than just a thumbs up, but that's all I get. I have tried playing instruments for years; piano lessons learning John Thompson as a kid; band in Junior High and High School playing a Tenor Saxophone in the Marching Band and I have never learned as much about music as I did watching this course. Thanks! No condescension, no air of superiority, just friendly talk from a knowledgeable dude. Awesome!!!

  • In awe with this super kind and highly knowledgeable teacher! Wow, he really pours his musician's heart out in this outstanding course on everything that relates to being a musician, sketching, writing songs, composing, and so on. Also it's a course chock a block full of highly helpful Ableton Live project files, PDFs, and many many useful tips and tricks. I highly recommend this course, it should have cost WAY more, and in all honesty, it's a steal! And did I mention, that you learn a lot about and within the Ableton Live environment?! LOVE this course!

  • Super helpful. The starting point and overview are very clear and logical. No starting in the middle of a production or explaining things that aren't relevant to the core fundamentals. Essential for beginning/intermediate producers but also a lot of tips for advanced production techniques. Super excited to practice these. Thanks! =)

  • Exactly what it says on the tin.

  • this is the best thing money can buy in my life. Isaac makes it look easy and the way he teaches makes you understand everything and makes it easy for you as well. its exactly what i wanted to learn in each video! i cant even sleep because another video loads and im like "ohhhh i need it" lol. i thank god for this class being affordable and the real deal.

  • This is a great, fast-paced introduction to producing sound using various popular software choices. James Patrick is super knowledgeable and presents the material in a patient (but fast), systematic way. This course is meant to be a high-level preview of a full-blown 6-month course at Slam Academy (taken online or in Minneapolis) so the pace of the material presented here is quite fast. In other words the tone is to show you what you'll learn if you take the full course. James suggests taking this course over 3 weeks to let things sink in. A dedicated student can follow along and review the material and then practice on their own software although it takes some focus! And while much of the course is incredibly well explained, there are also some sections where James works the controls without much narrative but making cool sounds. I ended up hitting pause every 30 seconds or so during some of the key sections so I could watch what he was doing and play around with the same controls. Ultimately the way to learn the software is by getting hands-on, so when I followed along this way, I learned a ton. Great course, be aware that it is a super high level survey of a longer course but this is still absolutely packed with information

  • Great class, I am loving it so far and learning alot - one issue, I have not been able to find a download for the included fx/ableton materials as noted in many of the lectures. where can I access those?

  • Very good class!! Makes it much easier to understand and apply the rules of theory. Anthony is also very wise to suggest to trust your ears, even if what you've written doesn't fit into those same rules. I am so very grateful for you putting this together, Anthony, and for making it available for the general public, Creative Live. I am also very glad I was given the opportunity to learn english in my home country (Brazil), in which many barely know how to read and write in our own native language (portuguese) due to our public education being so bad (which, by its turn, has to do with the myriad of vile creatures that inhabit our representative chambers). Tks XoXo!

  • This course its so good he makes it al sound so easy. that ists easy to remember and use in your creations.

  • Very cool class - learned a lot from this class as well as from the Part 1 class. Highly recommend both classes!

  • Fabulous course. As a person with dyslexia, trying to remember the notes and chords as letters only is impossible. I love the visual way the chords are demonstrated and explained. I was originally put off by the "electronic" aspect, thinking it was only for learning how to use piano edit roller. However, as a beginner in playing the piano, this course is applicable to all who want to learn and understand music theory in an interesting visual way. Looking forward to next lesson. Will definately be purchasing the course after. Fantastic tutor and course.

  • Went through this course in an evening and it has lots of fundamental information essential for working in Ableton. The tips, tricks, and techniques Isaac shares are interesting and can truly change your dull mixes into something full and realistic! Great for beginners and intermediates looking for new/different techniques!
