So now what we want to do is build out a list of our interests that we could use to target our audiences. So the first thing you want to do is go into ad manager and select business tools scroll down to where it says audience insights. So I have this right here, some add accounts will look a little different, but you're simply looking for the audience insights tab. I have already opened it into this tab and what you'll find is probably the most powerful free tool for learning about any audience in the world that is available for free online. This tool can be used to learn so much about basically any potential audience you want to target. But what we want to focus on now is learning more about the people that already follow us. So we want to do is type in the name of the business page you want to look at when trying to find new audiences. So I'm gonna select my clients at my client's facebook page And I'm now going to see an audience of 567, people who like this account from here. I can...
click into page likes and I'm able to see all of the interests of people that are already following the page. So the top of the page will show different categories of businesses that overlap with mine that have people that follow my page that also have people following these much larger pages And below that I have a list of tense, so we can go as far as 30 40 50, you can keep going pages that have overlapping audiences with ours based on the size of the overlap from the business. So we can actually see here this page. Castle rose boutique has an overlap of 52,000 people that follow my page and also follow their page as well as the size of that page on facebook. And we can get in order the size of the overlap between this business page and the one and my client or your business is uh facebook page. So this is really great and you can learn a lot a lot of stuff from here. But what I want to focus on is these little target icons. So what these things are are actually a paid tool called Interest Explorer which we will link in the notes that will allow you to to learn even more about how to build interest targeting better than any tool I know of. So these target marks are actually interests that show up on the facebook interest list that you can run ads to. So obviously there are plenty of pages that overlap with your business. But This will show you that this page mud pie with 69,000 people. This is actually a target herbal interest on facebook. So you can go and copy all of these names and throw them into your ad set to build a super powerful interest list of all of the businesses that would potentially have an overlap with your business. But interest Explorer goes another step. So this is Interest Explorer and you can type anything you want into it. And what it will do is it will look through the index of all of the facebook A. P. I. To see any interests that overlap with the interest you type in. So what I'm gonna do is I can actually choose any of these big name pages. I will type in ju ju be and what I'll get is a list of other audiences that overlap with that audience. So I have here Cherry blossom which again was another page that was relevant and you'd go through here and you'd say here's the ju ju be one. Do these interests actually overlap with additional interests that I think my potential buyers will have. You could literally go through each of these things. So we saw here mud pie or sweet honey. I could take this page, copy it, paste it into the box and then explore and try to find more and more interests. So what we want to do is we want to find the interests that are already indexed in the in the A. P. I. And right those into this box. So here's one that's joy folly. And What it actually shows me is other brands that overlap. So here's 13 interests related to this one and you can see today parents freshly picked and a bunch of other clotheslines. All of these would be great audiences that overlap with your potential buyer. And all you have to do is literally just select them all and they'll show up here in this box, you copy them and this can be pasted directly into your ad manager in order to run as Ed. So these are two incredibly powerful ways to use this tool, Interest Explorer 21 find interest directly on your audience insights as well as digging in deep into the A. P. I. And finding overlapping audiences that will allow you to expand your cold reach using interest targeting on facebook.
