w to get the most out of your shop on instagram. So I'll share three actions that you can take as soon as today in order to do so and then we'll move into the Q and A. But first let me give you some context on why instagram shopping even matters for your business to begin with today, we have a vibrant community of over one billion accounts on instagram. So these are people just like you and me who are using instagram to connect with their friends with brands and with creators that they're looking to for ideas and recommendations and tips and trends because from global events to culturally moved to cultural movements to new trends that are just starting to emerge every day, instagram mirrors what's happening in the world. And when you use instagram to connect with culture or to connect with your communities or to even express yourself creativity creatively you become inspired and that's really how shopping has become such a natural part of instagram because people come to instagram to be inspired and they want to discover new things. So for businesses, this is a huge opportunity to reach people right when they're looking to be inspired and looking to discover new brands and products, especially right now when it's so crucial for businesses to be online in order to connect with their communities. Now I know that I personally use instagram to shop all of the time, but I'm not alone. Nearly half of people that we surveyed use instagram to shop weekly. And really this has been the case since the beginning. Even before we had products that allowed businesses to promote and sell their products. People came to instagram to shop and when they found something that they liked, they would d m a business to ask about things like price, availability and fit or they would comment on a post. Hey, where can I find this item. So really that's why we created instagram shopping so that people could literally shop in the moment of discovery Now you might be wondering, well, what is instagram shopping anyway? Instagram shopping is a set of features across the app that allow people to shop photos and videos wherever they're spending time in instagram. So for businesses, this means that you can literally turn your instagram profile into a shop herbal storefront to reach new customers.
