Get Creative with Facebook Video
Here is an example and we're going to cue up the video here of a not boring, entertaining way that we get customers on the education side, right? And think about, education, that means we're competing with schools and everything else out there. So we really had to be different with our approach. And a lot of people weren't sure how they felt about it. But the numbers said it all. So let's go ahead and cue up this video, right about now. And here we go. $25,000 to the girl who let's me shave her head.
She looks like she has little bit of hair.
Trina, Trina, Trina.
Three, two, one.
Wait, in about four minutes, this advertisement is going to disappear which gives me just enough time to shave her head and give you the opportunity to become a real marketer. My name is Billy Gene and I'm the Wolf of Paid Advertising. When it comes to paid advertising on any given month I spend about $10,000 on podcasts, another $36,000 on billboards, about $100,000 on Facebook, and another $2...
00,000 on YouTube, cheers. And if I'm being completely honest, another $30,000 to 50,0000 on this penthouse. Company trips, a Bentley, a Corvette a suite in the San Diego Padres, why? Well, that's because it's awesome. Now before you skip this ad, let me ask you a question. Do you hear that? Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, hmm, hmm, ah. That's the sound of opportunity knocking. Some entrepreneurs will skip this ad, because they're allergic to opportunity. But not you. You're smarter than them. You know the consequences of not using social media advertising in 2017, and that's why you're still here listening. (upbeat music) See these little black boxes? They're called computers. And I'm going to let you in on a little secret about these computers, they're not going to create advertisements themselves, without you they're just worthless hunks of plastic. Like a loaded M-16 without a trained marine to pull the trigger. And in the case of the computer, it's up to each and everyone of you, my highly trained marketers, my geniuses who will not take no for an answer. My freaking entrepreneurs, who will not stop advertising until your clients buy or freaking die.
Let me tell you something, there is no nobility in free traffic, my business has relied on pay traffic and my business has relied on free traffic and I use paid every freaking time.
Because when I need customers even if I'm in the back of a limo I can open up my laptop, log into Facebook or YouTube turn on an advertising campaign and watch the customers fly in like this $40,000 gold watch. Now if anyone thinks I'm being superficial or materialistic for using social media, well go past out flyers outside of McDonald's because that's where you belong! But before you click out of this ad and you depart this room full of winners, I want you to take a good look around at the geniuses in this room. Go ahead. I'll give you a moment. Because some time in the not so distant future, your business is going to be in big trouble and you're going to be begin to pay one of these geniuses to do your marketing. So you listen to me and you listen good. Are you behind on your credit card bills? Good! Register for my training and start advertising. Did you grow up and think you were a freaking loser? Good. Register for my training and start advertising. Is your landlord ready to evict you? Good. Resister for my training and start advertising. I want you to deal with your problems, by becoming a genius.
All you have to do today, is register for my training and implement what I teach. And I will put you in front of more customers than Amazon on black Friday. I want you to ram your advertisements down your customer's throat until they choke on it. Until they freaking choke on it.
You'll be relentless. You'll be ferocious. You'll be marketing freaking geniuses. Now let's knock this mother out the park.
Um. So. Yeah, that's uhm. So obviously for those of you who have seen the Wolf of Wall Street, anybody seen that here? You know, a lot of entrepreneurs have. I kind of want to go into briefly because I have to stick to the schedule, how something like that comes about. Like where the creativity, come from and how was that executed. And there is a couple of lessons in it. Number one. It came from Netflix. Like Wolf of Wall Street was on there, for like one day. I saw it in the movies or whatever. But I'm laying on the couch and I was just like, he gives that speech. And again, it's about a guy who manipulates people and takes their money and he's totally words I can't use on this live stream right, but nevertheless, it's a great story. Okay. And so I'm watching and I'm just like, man how cool would it be to just do this. So, I literally sat there, I'm like I gotta bring this to the team. This is, I'm so excited. Oh my God I'm pumped up. So I walk and say, everyone huddle up, huddle up, huddle up. There is about 27 of us. Huddle up. I was like, you guys ever seen The Wolf of Wall street? I'm super excited. And they're like yeah. We're going to do it. Come on. What do you mean? When does Leonardo DiCaprio come on, what are you talking about? Thanks Billy can we go back to work now? Lesson number one, sometimes as creatives especially this audience, you guys get it, when you pitch your idea to your friends, they never understand. So stop doing it. Stop doing it. Right? We always ask the people, their opinions, another one, I used to always ask like talk to my grandmother about entrepreneurship. Rest in peace, I love her. Fantastic. Grandma you're not an entrepreneur. Stop giving me advice. Why do we keep taking people advice from people that don't have the result that we want? Right? Creating is a little different, but sometimes you have an idea and you need to trust yourself so I did. I Locked myself in the room and I took the script and I wrote our own version, and I started putting the word genius in this. Because my name is Billy Gene. So that's the catch. Genius, we spell it differently. Okay cool we're going to do this. I'm like alright, next week cool. We're going in we're filming it. They're like really? No time to prep. No anything. We did that whole entire thing in about five days. From idea. But that's our team, shout out to Paul who is here today. And the rest of our team that all contributed to that work. But we just rented a warehouse next to us and we just got out there. We took imperfect action, so again, my first videos did not look like that. First of all. They started with a cellphone inside of my mom's house, which is where I was living/running my business. Anybody relate to that? So that's where it really began. But over the years, we've gotten more skills, and created that and so anyway. That's that video. Also too as I'll talk about in a second a lot of people who don't know me and granted some of you are being introduced to me right now but you have a feel for my personality through the first 30 mins of this presentation, so you feel like you know me. You can tell that I like to joke a lot. I don't really take too much seriously but, when I ran that ad on Facebook, and there is millions of people seeing it, what do you think the response was? Showing this to Peg. Oh my God you were going to shave her head. Blah blah blah blahblah. Boom. Then you've got other people, are you kidding me? It's a joke, relax, creative. So what did I do? Nothing. I just watched them argue with each other. Back and forth back and forth. Engaging, engaging. Sharing. I have people post in groups, big groups, that were like I hate this guy. Share. To $100,000 people, like yes keep hating me. Please. Please hate me more. Right? So understand when you take a stance, or you do something you're going to have haters. Embrace them because they make you the most money.
