Lou brings so much to the class. Every segment has a ton of valuable nuggets from her long career, from the large variety of lighting setups she covers (e.g., strobes, ice lights, speedlights) to choosing shooting angles (she gets flat on the floor in one shoot) to managing your set and creating the whole experience. Watching her manage her shoots and problem solve throughout gave me a lot of insight into how an experienced and successful pro gets where she is in her career. I especially appreciate how her business savvy shines through. Excellent course, highly recommended.
I love Lou’s teaching style and genuine desire to share her deep knowledge and experience. Absolutely my favorite instructor on Creative Live.
I bought a couple of classes during a recent sale. One was a "master class" on headshots, and that class was fairly horrid. Lou Freeman's class is straight to the info and helpful. GREAT JOB!
Really enjoyed the class and thought Lou did a great job explaining her process with headshots. I've used her headshot approach with natural light on numerous occasions and came up with stunning shots.
Lou Freeman is a lighting savant. She conveys concepts in understandable scenarios. Absolutely a "worth it" class!
I am watching the course for the second time. This course is incredible and filled with valuable information. Lou Freeman is an amazing photographer and business person. Thanks Lou for sharing your knowledge.
Totally love the teacher and the information I feel Is priceless. She gave many things to think of and add to my normal style. Just time well spent, thank you !
Awesome class! Well worth the cost for advice and expertise from such an amazing photographer. Lou Freeman is an excellent teacher. She explains and describes in detail how she is photographing, why she is doing it that way, the equipment she is using and how to interact with your subject. I can use these headshot strategies in every aspect of my photography. Thank you Lou!
This free lesson helped me a lot. I especially needed to see and have an explanation of how to use the 7foot parabolic umbrella, when, how, and when to use that as opposed to the other light modifier. It looked liked she used 3 cake platters laminated for light fill. I don't know if that is what I saw but it looked like it to me. She also answered a question that I had about the use of a single speed light with soft boxes and the umbrella. I tried to find out this answer from Adorama which I could not find. This definitely will direct my near future purchases. Thanks you. I will at some point purchase the rest of this course for sure.
