The Creative Newborn Photography Studio with Julia Kelleher

This course was the first one on newborn photography that I have ever watched, and by far the best. I started out with photography 2 years ago and have launched a successful business specializing in newborn photography in my very small town, and now, when I go out in public and people notice my photography logo on my jacket I have people recognize it, and have even been told by someone that people are saying that if you're going to have newborn photos taken it has to be by me. I owe my success entirely to Julia, Thank you for teaching me everything that I needed to make my dreams come true.

One of newborn course you need to watch....

I have mixed feelings about this class. On the upside, there is a lot of valuable information about doing newborn photography sessions. I am on lesson 17, and have benefitted from what I've seen thus far. There hasn't been a lot on wrapping baby in different ways though, which I've found disappointing. I'm finding that for being a mom though, she seems to miss cues. Baby Mason I thought it was really obvious that he was hungry. He kept rooting and had the classic "hungry signals" going on, but she continued and referred to him as fussy. It's been 22 years since I had a newborn, and I still thought it was clearly obvious he was hungry. Too much anecdotal talking for me, that could be replaced with instruction. It's a good start course though.

Julia is amazing and has delivered a brilliant class here. Her wealth of knowledge and positive energy is inspiring to say the least. Julia is a brilliant teacher and I've learned so much. I am so grateful to Julia and to Creative Live for recording this and for the fact the I can rewatch over and over from the other side of the world. Thank you!!!!!!

i love this workshop. i'm not even sure it's a newborn photographer that i'm going to ultimately be. However, it's the content on creativity that i really love. Julia could really serve the creative live community well by doing a creativity workshop that isn't focused just on newborns. Thanks for the inspiration Julia!

I have watched a few of Julia's classes now on Creativelive and am so in awe of her art and expertise in her field. I've learned so much with each class. She teaches from the heart and genuinely wants to share her knowledge to help her fellow artists on the path to success in their own photography endeavors. This class is jam packed with information. I loved watching as she shot each photo session with absolutely adorable babies.

So... did Julia just do a almost full newborn session in 8minutes and 52 seconds (Posing techniques video)? OMG! She is a genius! And that is including the time she took to explain what she was doing. If you only transfer the baby at the end to a basked/bucket prop (which she does show in another video) and Voila, you have a full session and enough images to deliver to parents. This course is amazing, includes everything you need to know, preparing parents, preparing the studio and session, styling the shoots, light, props shoots, bean bag shoots, posing, wrapping etc besides her inspiration and support to be yourself and find your style. Don't look any further, buy this one. I bought it one year ago and catch myself coming back to view some videos again and I always learn something new! Thanks Julia!

I just finished watching this course over several days and it has completely broadened the horizon that I had set for myself. Julia has taught me that my creative style is something I need to be more true to, and that I can explore and change, but on my own terms as an artist. I can't believe how much this course changed for me in my personal mindset but also as a business owner. I highly recommend this course for anyone looking to embrace and expand on their creativity, not just in newborn sessions but for their studio as a whole. Julia, I can't thank you and Creative Live enough. This course was invaluable to me.

I'm currently watching the FREE class to see if I want to purchase, however, I'm struggling to see anything because the giant light she has is blocking most of the shoot set, and when they are posing the baby, both the photographer and the assistant are blocking the view. I feel there may be some good content, but I'm disappointed the angles selected for shooting and viewing aren't to the benefit of the audience.

i learen from this class how to make my photo more beautifull then what i was thinking! by using many Tools in photoshop and corel paint!

This class changed my life. A little over 2 years ago, I watched this class live. half way through the class, I bought it. I didn't know it at that moment, but without this class I probably wouldn't have been able to stay in business. I was a cross roads, not making enough money and struggling with so many aspects of my business. She went thought everything that I needed to change and I made a 10 step goal to finish everything. I am now 4 times more profitable than I was then. I am so happy that she teaches on Creative Live. I really don't know where I would be right now, without first finding this class.

Oh my goodness!! The best class. I learned so so much!! Julia is an open book and helped me get going in the right direction. Highly recommended.

I've had the privilege of attending a few of Julia Kelleher's workshops and I love them. She's a great instructor with a cheerful disposition and a great sense of humor. Julia's photographic genius is like no other. This truly talented woman creates masterpieces out of her photos. It is really amazing to watch. I'm beginning to collect her workshops b/c for me attending her workshops is not enough. I have to own them so I may go over them again and again.

Fantastic class! I've watched all three days in one sitting and picked up a few new techniques as well as gaining real clarity on designing a set. Going into my first session after watching this class I did it in half the time! 6 bean bag poses, 1 bucket, both parents and family photos in just over 2 hours, and there was absolutely no stress! Oh, and the words Julia uses to prepare parents for their portraits are priceless! Thank you so much, it was a wonderful class with a lot of valuable and easy to apply content!

Very insightful. Julia shows some great techniques, and more than anything, great inspiration. Great for a beginner or someone who just needs a little creative push.
