This has truly been a life changing course for me. I followed along with the exercises and feel like I've unlocked something special within me that I didn't even know existed before. Plus it helped me vanish past blocks, make sense of and even heal from past experiences because now I've identified the reason why they happened and I feel more capable of helping others going thru similar pain. It truly helped me make sense of things and gain a new perspective. Plus I am more focused and ready to start taking the steps necessary to reach my goals. I do recommend this course. If you are an emerging artist who is self-taught, like me, you may find yourself inspired to paint a variety of things and ways...and not know why. I really wanted to find out why I was painting what I painted so that I might have more direction. I found this course was excellent for this purpose. Nobody can tell you this information. You need to be willing to spend time with yourself and dig deep. My only criticism for this course might be that it would have been nice to have had an artist who paints among the students. I would have been interested to see how an artist go through this course. All the students were inspirational though.

the death meditation is a bit too much and dark, retool the process to not be so morbid... life's lessons, regrets, etc. but the death angle is over the top get the same process via less dramatic means....

I enjoyed this course because it helped my narrow my focus on what I need to do to get my art career off the grounds. The lessons are long, and there are tons of exercises. These things are all necessary, but I want to give a head's up. The class is worth the price for all the information that you receive.

This class is groundbreaking. It is the foundation to all of the other marketing information offered on CreativeLive. So many other classes just talk about finding your ideal client and what you want your business to stand for. This is the class that will reveal that. Ann asks you to dig deep and you will have to take some time to think and edit. If you just listen to this class you won't get the gold. You have to do the work. There are moments when this class gets a little "hippy dippy" for my taste but the basis of what Ann teaches is priceless. If you're wondering how you will know how your clients are or what you stand for... this is your class.

One of the best classes I have taken on Creativelive. Good communicator, good speech, and well put. If it wasn't so expensive, I would have not hesitated to buy it. I still save all of my notes though! :D

Ann's course now provides the cornerstone of my business. This is a lifechanger.

I loved this class. It was informative, helpful, and definitely worth the time and money. It helped me hone in on my offering in a way that nothing had up to that point. Highly recommend.

I think this course is extremely helpful if you follow her steps and do the work. This course can go through some very intense emotional moments, but it is all towards the greater goal of refocusing you and helping you find your meaning and purpose and most importantly, taking action on that to help others. I had many breakthroughs, but one of the areas that most helped me was to be patient with the process and give yourself the emotional payoff along the journey towards your long term goals. There is a lot of psychology in this course and it is necessary to tie your emotions into the actionable steps to get you past your struggles and focused on what is really truly important to you. I highly recommend this course if you want to get unstuck, want a road map to making a living as an artist from where you are today, and want to fulfill the best life that you can achieve.

I just finished Ann's online course and it truly has changed my life! I was in such a rut and I now feel SO excited. I have spent the last month going over all of your exercises and lectures and I am so grateful for everything Ann is putting out there for us creatives. I went through the traditional art school route, got my MFA, and have been doing the "struggling" artist thing for 6 years. This route hasn't been easy... depression, anxiety, debt, thoughts of quitting, insecurity, and frustration. I was never prepared for treating my art as a business, and it has cost me a lot. I have done a complete 180. My husband said to me the other day, "You have your confidence back, I have never heard you speak about your art in this way. I love it! " For me there were so many takeaways. I have learned I can't do this alone, I have unique value, and it's not about me, it's about them. Ann needs to be in every art school. If I had a mentor like this when I was 21, the last 10 years would have been much more smooth. I am saving my money to get a some personal consults with her. I talked to some of her past mentees and they all said the same thing- Ann's class changed everything for them. Thank you again Ann for offering your unique value to the world. I can't believe what I have gotten out of this course. Marketing experts are constantly talking about solving problem for clients--what in the world does that mean for artists? Ann beautifully answers this question. I have spent the last 2 years fumbling with the direction that I wanted my business to take. This class helped me to answer so many of the problems that I just could not resolve on my own. Thank you to Creative Live and to Ann.

I did not put a review too early in the process as this class it is divided is small bites and I was not sure how Ann was going to deliver everything she promised. Now, that we are getting closer to the end I realise why this class was divided in so many parts. Each one of them needs to be processed and integrated before going to the next one and the main secret with this course is to take the time it takes and trust the process. Ann Rea knows exactly what she talks about and you can see that she's been there, done that and she applies this process with all her individual clients. For a fraction of the actual price asked for a coaching session I really recommend this class to any creative entrepreneur that wants to understand him/herself better and gain clarity in the way they talk about themselves and what they do.

I just found out about this course on Creative Live - I can't believe it took me this long - however I do believe everything happens on the right time. I confess I'm still a bit lost as I fell right in the middle of the course but every single minute of what I have watched has made perfect sense and it has connected to everything I've been trying and learning on my own. I was told to not be a photographer, I had an abusive relationship, I was told I would never live a "normal life" after I suffered some irreversible nerve and muscular damage, and I've been pursuing my dreams and raising my son against all odds. It is so relieving and such a blessing to find someone like you that is willing to share all this, and bring so many great souls together. Thank you. I don't feel alone anymore. I will certainly soon start the course from the beginning, and exploring all tools Ann mentions on the course. I always felt that everything I went through had a purpose, so thank you Ann for being such a beautiful source of light.

This class has re-inspired me to focus on the things that I forgot are important. The homework assignments were at first a pain, but then looking back, SO HELPFUL. Is it easy? No. Is it asking a lot of me? Yes. Is it helping me? ABSOLUTELY. The structure is very much straight forward. You either want to do it or not. If you're not ready, then go somewhere else, go learn how to make bon bons. But if you are like me, want change, ready to do the work and BE HONEST with yourself and not complain, or moan about what YOU THINK you will get out of this before you actually sit down and do the work, then this class will be life changing. Trust me, I didn't think it was going to have the profound effect it has already had and there are many more weeks still to go! This class is great if you're ready to do the work. It doesn't really get you motivated but if you are ready to work as an entrepreneur/ professional creative this class offers solid framework to work through your stuff and plug yourself into. I can tell Ann Rae would be a great 1:1 coach. There seem to be technical issues with the free version of the class.

I find myself thinking about the concepts throughout the day and wake up with more energy to get to the work. Especially helpful is understanding as an artist you are both the boss and employee. Yes, I knew that, but hadn't taken time to reflect on what that means or acknowledged how difficult it is.

Insights that I have gained from the course 5 days in: I have honed in on my Purpose and Mission a bit more tightly than where I had been, and the course has reinforced the hard work I was doing before I started the course. I have been inspired and pushed to go ahead and focus on a more specific target market or tribe that I had not really gone ahead and followed through on as whole heartedly before the course. I came to the conclusion through several of the exercises that there is no point in waiting around for my "people" to find me... I need to really let them know where I am and where my art is and even bring it to them(physically or virtually). thank you Ann- Judi

I have only just started the class. In the first weeks exercises Ann encourages you to dig deep into your feelings and experiences to get to the bottom of what makes you "you". I'm discovering things that I didn't understand before and to be honest, it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride sorting out the lessons learned, emotions and coming to some clearity in what it all means to me as an artist. I decided to purchase the class so that I can go over these exercises again at my own pace. There is so much to be gained from these insights and I look forward to what I will learn during the rest of the class.

This course could very well be the transformative foundation from which the purpose of most (if not every) other courses at CreativeLive will be realized. Digging deep to understand with clarity and conviction one's own most personal motivation is not a journey to be lightly undertaken. I find however, that this journey is not taken alone. In the company of the many others who are taking this course and with Ann's hands-on input within the group, I believe I am beginning to uncover my own "why" and seeing the value in my own creative expression. I am so glad I have invested in the course so that I may follow along with the pace of the class, yet take my time to pursue understanding by reviewing lessons as often as needed.

I'm so grateful to be a part of this transformational course. I've gotten so much out of it already, and my vision for my creative enterprise has never been more clear. My thinking and vision have become much bigger, as well. I can see so clearly how to use my creative talents to create a profitable business that I can work in with passion and integrity.

After only a few days I am beginning to make some important connections. This is hard stuff. Figuring out your Why... your Purpose, your Mission and beyond is intense. I understand why Ann asks us to take it "one day at a time"... Sometimes things have to sink in and percolate... and then perhaps some bubbling up occurs... I am working hard and stepping back too... I can't wait to see what the other 27 days brings. Patience is a virtue(I am working on that too!).

Yes there was a loose format at the beginning but looking at the provided content and course direction I can already see I'm gaining valuable insight and an direction that is becoming clear in only 3 classes. If all I did was read the book Ann recommended "Mans Search For Meaning" it would have been worth the time and my "so far" free investment of time. it began a process I can see unfolding. I am looking forward to the next weeks and hope some of the others who haven't found this as directed as they had hoped will persevere and get the gold that is being delivered in every session.

“Like all worthwhile pursuits, you will get out of this what you put into it” Ann Rea. I am having a positive life changing experience thanks to this class. Now, I am able to identify much more clearly that my hobby was only fulfilling me and was not providing a service to anyone, therefore it was not allowing me to obtain the financial success that I am after.
