Design Surface Patterns From Scratch

advice and insight for writers, editors, and bloggers.
I have been blogging for more than 20 years. I started out with personal blogs then eventually shifted into blogging and other forms of content creation professionally (part time) in the areas of fitness, nutrition, and wellness while I also train and teach classes. I took this course because I've been contemplating make this my full time work. This was a great review of some blogging basics AND I learned a few new tips and tricks that I plan to implement right away. I particularly enjoyed the discussion about LinkedIn blogging. What a great way to add portfolio pieces that can be viewed by potential clients/employers! Great class! I highly recommend it!r
As a new writer, I found this fantastic. Darren was a pleasure to listen to and I would happily recommend this to anyone who is starting out writing for the first time in regards to a small business blog, which is the area that I am coming from. He probably has taught me to use fewer words, but that can wait until tomorrow. Great class Darren
I thought this was a great class! Lots of great content and action tips you can use today to either start blogging or being better blogger. Highly recommend this class for new bloggers.
Great tips on blogging, well presented by Darren. Very informative. So glad I came across this class. :)
I thought this was a good course on writing effective blog posts. It didn't seem to be too focused on driving traffic, however, his way of presenting his thoughts and tips were easy to watch in a single shot. Great course for non-writers who are trying to become writers!
I would NOT recommend this course to anyone who's had a blog and had some experience with blogging. The course really doesn't focus on writing a blog post that drives traffic. It's really Blogging 101 for newbies an the title is misleading. That said, Darren's easy to listen to and he's a very professional speaker. He knows a lot more than he shares here.
Great course, the content was clear and to the point. It is simply the best blogging education i came trough. Thx creative live.
There was a lot of good content here for anyone new to blogging. I am not new to it, but I did gain some insight. Just a note: the 4 EASY STEPS TO LOSE WEIGHT was an intentionally satirical/ironic headline, which you discover once you get to step 3. Step 3 was "getting your heart broken", which I'm guessing anyone would agree is actually far from easy. The humor and sudden depth of meaning are the reason the post got so many likes and comments.
Been a great course so far, although i personally expected some more template approach and lots more details on traffic. but overall i enjoyed the class. i rilly think every trainer here at creative live should have a personally signed certificate of completion attached to the classes. it will be lovely to have a proof that can be used for professional purpose. thumbs up !!
Thanks for the great insights into keeping it real!! ig: outprojects
Great course! Just want to point out a typo in the presentation. "Tenants" of journalism - should be "Tenets" - a tenant lives in an apartment - a tenet is a principle or belief. Just thought you'd want to know! Thanks! shannon borg
This was my first specialized course for Blogging (and writing in general) and I really loved it. I loved especially advise on the place blogging belongs to ("story telling"), and asking users for a feedback (very specific feedback) at the end of each blog. Advise to start with "Welcome" blog is invaluable!
This was one of the most valuable Creative Live classes I've watched. It was a manageable length, very targeted, and Darren doled out really great nuggets of advice to a new blogger. Highly recommend!
