Students begin by learning Microsoft Excel, one of the most essential business applications, while building a strong foundation in finance and business concepts. This beginner-friendly program is ideal for high school and college students interested in finance, business, real estate, entrepreneurship, and many other related fields. The skills covered here will give students a real advantage in college and internships.

In the second half of the program, students learn the fundamentals of Python and then move into more advanced programming tasks. You will explore data science concepts using Pandas, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn, packages that teach you how to input, analyze, and graph data. This course is held live online over five weeks in the summer, from 10 am to 1 pm each day.

  • Excel: Become an advanced Microsoft Excel user. Begin with data entry, charts, and essential shortcuts in Excel Fundamentals. Move to the next level with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP in Intermediate Excel. Then automate your workflow by recording macros in Advanced Excel. You will learn everything you need to become a true Excel pro.
  • Finance and Investing: Learn what drives stock prices and how investors value companies. This course covers the essentials of valuation (including P/E ratios and DCF analysis), financial statements, and the fundamentals of stock investing. You will analyze recent earnings releases and valuation multiples of companies like Google and Apple to build a framework for fundamental investment research.
  • Python for Data Science: This course covers the fundamentals of Python programming and its applications in data science and machine learning. Students will get up and running quickly and be prepared to use Python for real data analysis projects.
