In Next Level Portraits: Foundations of Lighting, you’ll learn how the position of a light affects facial structure and texture, how distance controls contrast and exposure, and how light patterns influence the overall look and mood of a portrait. This class is taught from a studio environment and emphasizes lighting techniques that are controlled, repeatable, and adaptable. While the demonstrations take place in the studio, the principles taught apply to any portrait scenario and any lighting equipment (even natural light).
