Loved the class and the teaching style, would like to see more workshops from this artist,

Good basic info but not well structured. There is no clear learning agenda, no meaningful project, and no end ( video just ends abruptly). Overall, you get a bit more airtime than watching similar videos on Youtube. With a better learning agenda it would have been much better course.

Very informative! Love her style of teaching as she gets to the point and no time is wasted. Easy to listen to, great visual and content. I learned a lot! If your starting out in watercolor get this course!

A really great class that gives a good overview. Solid advice and makes watercolours very approachable.

I've been a silk painter for decades and am just starting out with oils. This course was extremely helpful, especially the demos. One thing--at the very end she says that with traditional oils you'll need to clean your hands with a solvent before washing with soap. Not a great idea if you want to be healthy. I remove pigment on my hands by rubbing a clean oil on them, then washing it all away with soap.

Fantastic class! I am a beginner when it comes to abstract collage, and Amy demonstrates a generous number of techniques—all accessible and with clear instructions. She shows how each step can yield exciting variations, and she inspires play. Many of the techniques utilize a photo as a “muse” or “mother image," and it’s fun to discover new possibilities for my photos.

As an experienced artist, I learned so much more than I ever knew about color relationship and how/why to use it. I would hIghly recommend this course to anyone who wants to expand their color skills and attain a deeper understanding of how to use it to make dynamic art.

Wow, I thought I would get bored in this class, but Mary explains everything and every aspect so well and keeps it interesting. Understanding colour has been my biggest struggles in my art journey. After this class I finally get it! It will take me a lot of trial and error, I had no idea there were so many aspects to it, but it all makes perfect sense. I am so glad that I can go back and review this class whenever I need, because you can't possibly take it all in. Thank you for sharing your knowledge but also doing the demonstrations. Great teacher!

I have already either taken or own all of Mary Jane Begin's online classes and this is another great one. This is a rather short class, so this is only a high-level overview of color as used in illustration or painting. It's not the whole thing. I think renaming the class to reflect that might change the expectation. Maybe something like "Color Fundamentals for Painting and Illustration" would be better. Mary Jane Begin has numerous classes on LinkedIn Learning which are in depth demonstrations which some who are wanting more might benefit from, a as well as some titles here on specific painting methods.

Nice quick little class. Even if you have already experimented with watercolors and gouache, you will learn something new. MJB is a natural presenter who explains her processes clearly and eloquently while encouraging experimentation. Even her little side tips--like squeezing the belly of a paint tube to suck the extra glob back in--will enhance your practice by lightyears. Best of all, she is serious about play! I look forward to taking her other classes on CL.

I think that so far, this is one of the best art classes I have taken, She is so thorough and complete. I love all the assignments and practice tips she has and has give. I think that she is an amazing teacher.

This class deserves 5 stars. Molly is a wonderful instructor. She is not only thorough with her presentations, but also inspiring. I learned so much from this class and I know it will become a permanent part of my reference material. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in watercolor painting.

This class is so informative. Lots of great tips and demonstrations. Very easy to listen to Molly teach. It’s a good pace. Love this class.

Nota review but a suggestion. Use a table knife to remove paper from bloc. No curling of edges.

Very thorough . perfect for someone who wants to start painting with Acrylics.
