  • Highly recommend this course. Learning from Todd was such an honor. He played a vital part into my photographic journey. From the very beginning of this course I began to see improvement in my concert photography. He goes through everything you need to know to get started. I recommend this for both beginners and professionals. There’s always room for improvement and this course will get you that.

  • Great speaker, loads of info

  • Simple process with exceptional results.

  • I have been shooting concerts since the late '80s. Van Halen in LA was my pride back in the day. 3 songs. They took our film. If that tells you how long ago that was. I've been back at it in recent years (all digital of course) and I learned a lot.. You have a gift. Not only photography. But your methodical way of covering current concert shoots and technology. Thank You.

  • Absolutely loved this course. Clear, fast, learned a lot!

  • This is a really carefully curated, well delivered course. You can see the thought that went into it, and there are so many practical tips for really envy genre of photography such as events. Quite a natural instructor as well, I’d like to see more from Todd.

  • This class was comprehensive, fun, and makes me want to get in a photo pit! I recommend this class to anyone, whether they want to get into or they already do music photography. This class has something for everyone.

  • If you love Chris Knight's low key imagery, and want to learn his technique, then this is the class for you!

  • Been shooting live music shows in the UK for about 7 years now, but learnt loads from Todd's class. Can't wait to put the use of onstage off-camera flash in to practice when gigs return. Worth every penny regardless of the price!

  • I've bought some courses that a pain somewhere to watch because the instructors make the courses about themselves, somehow. What I'm enjoying about Chris is that he is low-key and highlights the things he teaches.

  • This class was better than I thought it would be. Chris gets into detail on how and why but still allows for your own style to come though. I'd recommend it to anyone who is drawn to this style of portraiture. If you're into light and airy you got off at the wrong exit.

  • This course was the best!!! It reinforced the practices that I was already using, and showed me how to take a step further. Also gave me the confidence to step outside my comfort zone and step into the Portrait side for promo photos. I would absolutely recommend this class!!!

  • Very good to understand how a portrait gets improved in post production. Very good explained.

  • Simply Sophisticated

  • I have been taking Creative Live classes since 2010 and this is at the top with the best classes t I have taken. This may have been the first time Todd taught a class, but you would never be able to tell. He doesn't just brag about the high profile clients he has shot, he also makes sure to relate to the photographer just starting out. I really enjoyed the two live shows as well as the additional portrait shoots. His concepts on location scouting, playing with distortion, multiple poses in one spot, speedlights, etc. can be applied to all kinds of photography, not just music photography. Highly recommend!

  • Wow, this was awesome! I have been a concert photographer for almost 3 years now and I still learned some great tips! I loved that he covered different ideas for promo shots which is one of my weaknesses. Any beginner should definitely check out this course! It is straight and to the point with all of the most important steps.

  • This is especially good for beginners who don't know how and where to start off. Intermediates probably get a couple of take-aways as well. I enjoyed it quite a bit having already covered small shows, festivals and a few "big" shows.

  • This is a really great course! I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in this type of photography. It is presented in an easy to understand way. Todd gives clear and informative tips and shows how to set up lights, poses etc! I found it very helpful, and will definitely put what i've learned to work. Thanks, Mark

  • Great information from a talented and precise artist. Chris Knight is an inspiration and this class has greatly improved my portrait work.

  • Fantastic class, so much information during such a short amount of time. Knight's photographs are absolutely gorgeous, truly inspirational. Very informative class and pleasant speaker.

  • This is a great intro course to music photography ... it really isn't just about shooting concerts ... the information covered in the course can be applied to other genres, especially environmental portraits ... Todd covers SO MUCH beyond just the shooting aspects of it! CL needs to bring him back to expand on some of these points AND have an in studio audience ... the engagement with experience and questions would be invaluable!

  • I highly reccomend this class for any one who would like to get started or dip their toes in the concert photography scene. This class has many useful tips and trick for any level of photographer, not just beginners. I have been in the music scene for over 10 years and I was able to gather so much information in every chapter. Watching this video boosted up my confidence as a photographer because it validated that I am already succeeding in my concert career. Thank you for this amazing stream. It sparked my creative soul once again.

  • I don't have a ton of time to spare and largely catch segments of courses on short breaks. One of the things i like best about this course Chris's ability to communicate so effectively and efficiently. He covers a lot of ground in not a lot of time, but the course doesn't feel at all rushed. He's just a good speaker/instructor. One of the other reviewers mentioned that this instructor brings no ego to the stage, and I have to agree. He's a confident and competent instructor without being obnoxious. Rock solid course with terrific instruction. I will definitely check out more of Knight's classes.

  • awesome.

  • Great course.. thoroughly enjoyed it.
