As the market becomes more competitive, it gets harder to stand out from other photographers to potential clients. Creating strong conceptual ideas through compositing allows you to defy what can be accomplished within a single camera frame.

Erik Almas is an international commercial photographer who is known for his visually stunning composite work. In this class, he will show you what tools you’ll need to create a truly seamless composite. You’ll learn about light, the proper lenses, camera positions and settings as well as establishing the proper workflow to simplify the post process. He’ll share simple illustrations to explain what the most common mistakes are in composite photography and how to avoid them.

By the end of this class, you will have the tools to start creating beautiful composites of your own.

Software Used: Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5.1

Photography sort of fell in my lap. When looking back at how I became a photographer it is almost like it rained on me. I didn’t have a great interest in pictures. Or art. And a relative didn’t give me a camera when I was 12.

I'm so sorry but there are more in-depth compositing tutorials on YouTube and they of course cost nothing. Courses like this devalue the Creative Live brand because once a subscriber discovers there's a lack of value, they don't return and purchase other courses.

I wouldn't say I necessarily "learned" a ton, but I do now feel like I can use the skills I already have to start confidently messing around with composites. I was inspired and some of my worries about not being able to match up subjects properly have gone away. Thanks Erik!

The set or location set-ups and in-camera requirement instructions were excellent, but the post processing section was too short and lacking in enough detail and explanation.

If you are expecting to learn how to composite, this is not the course for you. However, if you want to know the fine details of compositing well, you want to refine your work, this is the course.
