Project Life Closing Thoughts

We I'm sure have so many random questions that we haven't covered topics, commons ideas and thought so we have a lot I mean, everyone's been fantastic about sending their questions, and I do appreciate we haven't bean asking as many questions to be perhaps normally would on creative life, partly, I think, because becky has been so much in the zone, if you like, I think the emotion that we've all been sharing on the stories that we've been showing, everything we've been learning it it's not really been appropriate to cutting with questions, but I can assure you that we're going to be giving all of the questions to becky after the program if she has a chance to answer them, maybe on her block or in a website than its couple. I'm sure if she has that time and it's a big time commitment, I'm sure she will, but we do have lots of more comments and we just want to share with them. I do want to give these students and their heads up. We definitely want to hear from you before the end of the d...

ay's start thinking about what you really have the most what's been the most emotional, those powerful story for you for the last three days, but also show a tip actually, this comes from project life. Loving mama and she says she used to use me to use her for your brand she says my motivation is keeping a layout open so I can work on it and see it as I'm walking around it just keeps me thinking project life just to see if they're in my daily life absolutely sure that's something a lot of your customers yeah, that would be absolutely and I shared a picture you guys member alley edwards the corner for a kitchen that's precisely what she's doing she's keeping her album open so is her page in progress right there for that week or that time period? And that way those cards can kind of slip in this post conflict in as she feels inspired, so I'm really glad to know that other people are doing that as well. Now we do have one question that I didn't want to share though I mean, this is something that I think touches on another different area because we've talked a lot of course about documenting children's life and we did talk a lot about some children have had some health issues, but one parent was asking how do you deal with a child? Perhaps who has autism? They very much want to create a an album and people that going said to do you have any thoughts or ideas have you before you'd like to share thank you for asking I have I don't have a personal experience with autism and yeah, I know it's so do any of you, by the way because I'm going to make sure that you just take you doing okay let me come back to that then I the one quick thought that I want to share with you in terms of autism is that we just mentioned ali edwards ali edwards is super ali is special for a lot of reasons she's so amazing how she documents life you can tell she and I have a really strong connections well, I connect with stacy and I connect without were very like minded connect with you guys ali has a son who has autism simon and I'm gonna answer the question by save go to allie edwards dot com read her blogged follow her she will deeply inspire you with how to document this thing in your life and I can't personally add more to it because I can't say anything better than ali says when it comes to autism what did you want to share what's your that's good. Ok, would you agree? You know okay, yeah, absolutely. Thank you. Well, thank you for that, stephanie and we have lots of other really lovely comments thank you so much for sharing them with us glanced in twenty three is saying I was able to document very imp important and life changing events with grand parents and my parents surgeries cancer treatments that I would otherwise not a documented because we live too far away for each other I don't I didn't have many pictures for but having project life I've been doing it now for four years has enabled to me to document all of the important stories and the moving things from that from their lives thank you for sharing that with us thank you ruby susan is saying thank you to beckie thank you to create a life for a fabulous class I've already signed up for the big picture class okay definitely well we're going to go to our students now but becky obviously we're going to come back to get some closing thoughts we definitely I don't want to end on that other emotional note we want to end on a very it is I think it's been wonderful that you've been brave enough to share these stories with us that we can read them on their thank you for that thank you for all of your contributions over the last few days let's switch this around when went the other way old week so let's start with rachel starting this corner really shock one of you really taking away from this course so when you ask that just a few seconds ago my mind sort of started panicking because we have had so much inspiration in this left particular segment but over the last three days of where am I going to start when I write home and I just was thinking about how you said just prioritize and break it down like I just need to start small with this week just document this week and then one yeah like why are you going to do this week? Because you're not going to go home and do it all right, but you are going to find out what that one thing is and unity tackle this week when we get there and keep it simple for sure it is, but I think we've all learned lisa, I have been writing thoughts, so I've got a few I love the love language what was said earlier because I wrote that down too before it had been said that it really is a way to chauhan express love and I've kind of wrote my role I'm the designated memory keeper for my family and that is I think, for a lot of us a scrapbook that's a responsibility I'm willing to take and I love it and I thrive on that and so I have a lot of friends that send me pictures like I'm a single divorced mom and so my daughter staying with friends right now long here and the lady she's staying with has been sending me pictures of my daughter doing things and so I've got you know, people that helped me dio thiss which is wonderful that they know this is important to me and then another friend she said your life always seems like a party like you're always just doing fun stuff and it's not that my life was this fabulous great thing it is I mean I'm very blessed I don't want to discount that at all, but I document we go out and we feed the ducks in the pond it doesn't have to be this like you've said this big fabulous trip or mowing the lawn together or just all these little mundane things that don't mean anything by themselves but when I put them all together and I documented my friends like your life is so rich and exciting and wonderful and it's because I documented that's it that that's it I don't want to say to them and you would realize your life wass if you take that time to really document the everyday I'm and do it that's awesome thank you very much, lisa the other new friends and takes great I want a picture of you and all your new bf seriously that's fine and god be thank you for joining us. What is what's your takeaway from this course right now? It's the journaling cards I'm super excited to go home and put them in my first and carry them everywhere I go yeah I'm I can't explain super excited to introduce us to my kids and my family and my friends on restaurants and everywhere that I go it's, that's such a tangible action item, you know, it's just that I'm going to take a little box of grid cards, stick it in my bag, it's always with me, and so I can't wait to hear your follow up because I bet you're going to find yourself johnny down those things, whether you're quoting somebody or you know, I actually isn't sometimes for a quick list, if I'm running to the store, I write on there really quick and not because I think it's really amazing it should go on my album, but sometimes it's like you know what? This is the kind of stuff we eat. Yeah, this is stuff I buy the store so that's a part of history it goes in a pocket. It's easy, that's. True. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you for your friends. Definitely this week, which I'm really, really throw that one very special one nearly ran off with my shoes yesterday. But he's well spoken the most powerful thing for you this week. The motivation as I said before the beginning I have twenty years they're sitting in a box and I've been overwhelmed I don't want to see myself again at twelve years old thirteen or fourteen it's do this just too much of it because I have always had taken photographs and all of a sudden it's like oh no you know what my teenage years is in that one shoe box and that album that I'm going to get that orange one that I've been spying all of it that's going to be my teenagers and the yellow one is going to be my twenties and I know that the motivation in the inspiration I got it's going to keep me going for this holy week and I'll get it all done because it's going to rain this week got it home living my life again you have no idea how many people want to come home with you the kodiak just to be yours friends don't we all just kind of want to go see her buddy and scott together on the other island seriously just make sure your kitchen table is big enough and we're all good way could happen thank you for sharing that andy thanks so much to me and michelle thank you for joining us what's been your big takeaway you know what I think I have learned to just make it make a simple I always try to complicate everything I I have the kit I have a camera phone I never have excuse of not having a camera it should be super super simple to be able to just document life but kudos to you with their kids because you don't have just a child or two you have your five kids that's no small task so for you and for anyone who's who's willing to say ok, I know I'm busy my life is very, very full it's just such a major kudos to anyone in that situation working or not who are willing to tackle it because you can break it down it's possible to break it down and not you know feel overwhelmed by it very calm I'm excited that in one of it and on debbie what's been your big takeaway for the last couple days you know so much I appreciate at the end how you did that four point kind of break it down because I was starting to feel a little bit overwhelmed and then I'm like ok, now you're kind of you know, tying it all kind of bringing everything together in one package there but I've had just the assignment to do that to do the pictures and for you know, for the was it the first day that we we went through seven men yeah well doing that and then when we brought the photos and just going through I was just laughing and just because I hadn't sat with them for for quite a while and I was just laughing and thinking of all the stories and just a share I dio a thing called a life, which is an email that comes to me every night to ask what happened that day uh, it's it's not an app it's just it's just online like a program it's a program and you sign up for it and so, um, because I just realized like you how quickly I forget so it comes to me at night, I check my email and it just asked what happened that day and I can just quickly type in stuff that happened that day and I and then you can go back online and look at it and refer to it. So when you I can't remember what happened when you took that picture or that event or whatever it's right there and it's just a real simple it's just a few lines and you're and you're done kind of like you're doing with the cards but its online for me, so I need you found some that works for you. Yeah it's actually like a tangible yeah email and every day that's very yeah and it's just a reminder because I'm not always in that because I don't have little kids around me all the time or whatever my life is you know everybody's different but it just kind of just like oh yeah what what did happen today and but it's just been really really fun and I'm just really excited to get those pictures in and for the kids and for just a sharing with everybody thank you yes thank you very much and connie thank you for joining us what's being your big takeaway from the last three days oh I really like something you said this morning you recording one of your professors and you said the purpose of the task is to strengthen the relationship and you mentioned washing dishes and mowing the lawn or whatever that is you do that with your child is to strengthen your relationship the relationship between you and your child not just to get the dish is done I think that applies really well to scrap booking the purpose of the task is to strengthen the relationship between me and my child not to see how elaborate of us a layout I can make and keeping it simple is just a great idea awesome that's one of my favorite parts I wasn't even planning on bringing that up it's not it's nowhere in my notes it's not in my content but I think that's because it's just so ingrained in me and it's just my everyday thought process I'm not always perfect about it asked my husband asked my kids but I do believe that that principle alone if we apply that and scrap booking and more importantly apply it to our whole life it just it will strengthen relationships and that will keep us focused on what's most important thank you thank you. Call me and tell me thank you. Well, I've been taking notes both mentally and and physically like mad and I'm looking forward to going home going through my notes, re watching the course, taking one segment at a time and applying that baby steps for me keeping it simple, opening the door on my scrap backroom and leaving it open I have out of sight out of mind syndrome yeah, getting that scrapbook out on the counter and like you said, grid cards in my purse, maybe a stack in all my rooms um that's what I'm gonna do, I'm looking forward to going home and starting this got a scott that group it's awesome and I'm going to do it a scalpel group group like for really you're going to do that I'm going todo holding things ladies, they're coming um I have yeah that way wait did that we work you and I love as I'm listening to you like I'm so I'm so touched by what your takeaways are, but I know that secretly what you're all thinking is blah, blah, blah and when we get in our way andi, I have to mention on that note I was totally kidding you guys know that, but I do love to give free stuff away and so on my block once in a while if you if you're familiar with that what's so what we do do would give away of just we want you to have some stuff so another fund reason to follow what we're doing there, so thank you guys, everyone for your takeaways I love that thank you you've been so much a part of this show, you know, creative live our online audience obviously is so engaged, but when our students come here and they're so excited and they're so happy to be here, they thought they join in the way they have it makes our job certainly love easy and I know it's been a great help to becky is well, I think that was a little bit nervous maybe on day one I don't know why I don't know why because she's been so confident, but having these way ladies who have been so engages has really made in a wonderful programs thank you very much. Somebody what's been your takeaway from the last couple of days? Well, you know, I think we are the voice of the global audience I'm actually going to share a takeaway from one of our friends out there scraps of mine says while listening to becky these past few days I've completed my son's first year of his life what a great feeling like ok I used to think that multi tasking was not a good idea that is awesome she was listening and learning and she was doing at the same time and she's done and none of us finished an album well let's also put this on as a scenario maybe she was watching and after the broadcast started e can multi task that's that's cool tip either way amazing great work yeah I'm sure back you'd like to finish with some final thoughts for our audience for everybody's watching any voice left I never have anything to say what should I say no do what works for you is the big takeaway that I want everyone to have there's like actually ten thousand takeaways I want you control gene started started scrapbooking group you know there's so many things that we're each going to pull from this the key is really to choose what works for you because you know it's going to happen I don't want anyone to leave this course to go home to kind of open up that room where their scrapbook stuff is and stare blankly and not know you really have to break it down somebody mentioned baby steps in here, we didn't break it down and decide what's the one thing you're going to focus on and do it in a way that matches your personality. You are unique, you're different from me. I'm different from you and it's going to be very different from each of us for each of us and how we want to proceed with us. So bottom line, no matter how you slice it, no matter how you go about doing it cultivated good life and record it that's fantastic advice. Thank you so much. Well, thank you so much again to all of you for joining us of the last three days. We really appreciate you having us having we really appreciate having you with us and getting some time for a change. Thank you so much. You're the reason that we're here you're the reason that makes creative life work. Thank you again to all of our lovely ladies. Thank you, michelle. Thank you, debbie. Thank you, connie. Thank you, tammy. Thank you, rachel. Thank you, lisa. Thank you, god. Thank you, denise. I got the thief I was going to say. It's always said that behind every great man is a great woman. But in this case, behind a great woman there's, a great man as well and he's been with us all week, I really want a big, big thank you to david e I didn't not know you were doing that, you know the reason I didn't do it because you can tell there is one of us is more in front, more comfortable in front of a camera than the other. But man, I would not to be doing any of this if it weren't for my husband. He happens to also be my business partner, but he's here behind the scenes, he's helping he's doing and most importantly, he is reporting, and he gets you guys and that's why he loves being involved. So, yes, a huge thank you to david. He was wondering why I asked him to come into the studio earlier, and now he knows I don't know that any of us wear thanks, and also thanks to our very special guests that we've had over the last photos as well. Last read a story caroline's stacy julian, who is with us today but of course, let's give a huge global creative life. Thank you to the our wonderful instructor this week, he's been amazing. Thank you again.

I have been involved with scrapbooking for many years and have made numerous purchases for supplies, a room full and then became so overwhelmed by all of it that I have done very little. The reason being, that I was so conscious of what everyone else was doing and mine never quite measured up to what I saw that others were doing with all the embellishments, and techniques. I then turned to card making because it was a much quicker gratification than studying and laboring over the perfect layout with the perfect paper and etc. I had gotten an earlier Project Life kit of Becky's a few years ago and because of a very busy life had never fully gotten the concept, but thanks to Creative Live and Becky I am on the right track now. I am so very motivated and have recently taken all of my photos out of old albums, boxes, etc. and have them at least in order by years so that now I can begin to document this life of mine. By the way, I just turned 70 and boy does that mean a lot of photos. I am equally excited to get an album started for each of my grandchildren that they can document their own lives. My three youngest are 9,11 and 13 and are so heavily involved in sports, community, church and life itself that they need to document this now, for sure they will forget when they are 70 and trying to play catch-up. I have been a fan and follower of all things Becky Higgins since the beginning of Creating Keepsakes and have always felt she was so very authentic in her aspect of documenting, living life and celebrating everyday living. She is awesome and thank you Creative Live for having her on and allowing so many of us to share in this 3 day event. I know I am catching this in the summer 2014 when In fact this was done in 2013, but better late than not at all. A very special thanks to Becky!!!

I am very excited to document my families life. I have 5 kids and a wonderful husband and life goes so fast. I feel like I do everything on the express train! However, this course was not for someone with the ADD brain. This 3 day course could have easily been consolidated down to one day.... maybe two. I think Becky is adorable, however, think she said the same thing over and over again just a different way. I am excited to start project life and review the videos as I need to.

I need help with organization and this class really helped. I also love the simplicity of Project Life. One of my favorite things was how pictures are taken of kids projects to preserve them rather than keeping the originals. Photos of hands has also become a new interest thanks to one of the guest presenters. This class was worth every penny!
