A series of practice pages will be provided to get you started. You’ll draw 3D forms such as an egg and a cube, and build up to drawing hands.
Excellent explanation of turning 2D into 3D! Thank you!
I am taking all of Amy's beginner drawing classes. I like them because her approach is really concise and just very helpful. I am learning lots of techniques. I was one of those "I don't have talent" people and this makes me realize it's a skill anyone can learn if they want to. Thanks Amy!!
I've SO wanted to learn to draw and have tried different things, I've tried tracing photos, creating a grid and then putting in the lines section by section, but this is teaching us more - the ideas behind just the mechanics. I love she tells us to feel a connection with the objects we're drawing. I really feel like I'm getting better.
I have been drawing for years, but didn't realize the relationship of the shapes I have been looking at. Amy teaches fundamentals in an easy to visualize, non-judgemental manner. She sets up a framework of skills that build to each more complex concept and gives real world application. Loved it!
This was one of my favorite classes. Amy is a very patient and thorough instructor. I have taken many drawing classes but I really loved her approach. I'm looking at the world differently!
Clearly explained concepts. Well thought out for the building blocks of drawing, from shape to line quality to shading. Gave me confidence and desire to keep on drawing.
Amy explained the process in simple terms that were easy to understand. She made it seem so doable! can't wait to fill my sketchbook :)
A great course to learn how an artist visualizes objects to make their drawings look 3-dimensional on a 2-dimensional surface (such as your paper). Awesome!
