    If you're just starting video editing, or moving to FCPX from another editor, or just planning on buying FCPX as your first editor, you really should consider buying this course along with it, as your advanced user's guide. You may be wondering if a $99 course, let alone a $149 one, is really worth the extra cost added to the price of FCPX. I'd say yes it is. If you're just starting from scratch, the first day clips alone are worth a lot, because Rob is starting from all the way from organising your audio and video material even before firing up FCPX. He's explaining the process in detail, and offering you highly valuable tips to make your workflow much easier and smoother throughout the whole process. Same goes with the next two days, as you get ahead deeper into basic editing, colour grading, syncing and so on. Thanks to Rob Adam's teaching style, this course is very easy to follow, and it will help a lot in taming the learning curve. It will save you a lot of time and curse words as you start practising with FCPX.

    I was lucky enough to be part of the in-studio audience for this course. I was expecting Rob to just go through all of FCPX's functions and show us what they do, but he did way more than that. He showed us his entire workflow, from organizing files as they come off memory cards to delivering the finished product to a client, and everything in between, including creating and editing an actual cinema-quality short wedding film. If you're ready to edit your own footage, you can simply follow along with Rob's workflow, pausing the videos when you need time to catch up. This course is the perfect follow-up to Rob and Vanessa's Wedding Cinematography course, and together they form a complete package!
