Design Surface Patterns From Scratch

Use Your Storytelling Powers to Give Your Audience What They Need and Want
We’re hardwired to come to every story tacitly asking one question: what am I going to learn that will help me make it through the night? We’re looking for inside intel on how to best navigate the unpredictable, scary, beautiful world we live in. As a result, there’s a set of specific unconscious expectations readers have for every story—expectations that have nothing to do with the surface plot or how beautifully the story is written. By decoding your reader’s hardwired expectations – and how to meet them—you’ll be able to create a story that will rivet readers from the very first sentence.
In this session you’ll learn:
Excellent!
Totally changed my way of writing.
Awesome -- Lisa Cron is the best writing teacher I've ever had the pleasure of reading/watching. And I majored in comp lit! :) Thank you Lisa!
Impressed! Lisa's storytelling approach makes so much sense to me and so refreshingly different to the expected 'generic writing structure’. Great delivery, easy to listen to and understand. Thank you.
Amazing instructor, such a valuable class and every minute is packed with information!
Lisa Cron demystifies storytelling. Wonderful class.
I loved this class. I'm reading Wired For Story at the same time, and this course is a great way to introduce and somehow simplify the concepts before digging deeper and going into more detail in the book!
I appreciated the differentiation between plot and story. Inspiring and usefull throughout. Thanks Lisa.

I was watching it live. I really liked the teacher and she made many good points, but I was having issues with my computer so fr me the lecture was stopping and starting at random. I expected her to re-show or at least tell the list of reader's expectations so I could at least get a screen capture, but the video ended in the middle of sentence before she finished the last point or reviewed the whole list.
