How to Use a Wacom Tablet with Jared Platt

Nicely done with a good overview, with some specifics, on the power and customization capabilities of the Wacom tablet. I would love to see some sessions with different photographs, demonstrating his process and use of the tablet.

I've had my tablet for years and really had no idea how powerful a tool it is until I came across this course by Jared. He reveals how easy it is to customize this tool to streamline your workflow so that you can maximize your efficiency. Excellent and highly recommend!

This course did help me ( as a brand new user) to get the basics down, but that is about as far as it really goes in this course. I really wish that Jared would have included some more of his own keystroke combos that he showed off and/or talked about, as I find them confusing to create on my own when involving ratings and such.

Jared is wonderfully articulate in explaining the possibilities, purposes, and techniques for setting up a Wacom tablet to make the most of it! I completely upgraded my user experience and power thanks to this class.

Great understanding on how to set up and use the Wacom tablet, I am glad it is like the shuttlePro v2. I was worried that I would have to create a new system to edit photos in LR. Just transfer my setting over to the tablet. He did a great job taking about the tablet in basic terms, while explaining and show examples. Thanks so Much Jared Platt and CreativeLive.

Great for anyone new to tablet and needs to learn. Not sure when this was made or difference between Mac and PC but on my PC to change brush size and hardness just hold Alt key while moving brush up/down , left/right

Interesting course. Jared is giving a full descripction of all the possibilities of this hardware and the tools to customize it to our own convenience. Good job, Jared, once again, and I love your sense of humor.

Jared Platt is one of my favorite instructors. This class was super helpful with how-to's and ideas for LR and PS. Next I'd like to see Jared do a similar class using the Cintiq and ExpressKeys remote.

The course is taught on a medium / large tablet, using Lightroom & Big Photoshop. I use a small tablet and Elements. Parts of the class are over my head. My tablet does not have all the buttons referenced; my software does not have all the options discussed. However: The class is worth the money. The value starts at 9:20 in the 4th module, when Jared explained how to set up the options on the Wacom Tablet Properties menu. These had been a mystery. I will have to watch the show again; my brain got full in the last module. Watch, work with your images, come back and watch again. Even this tiny tablet will allow me to do way more than I had imagined. (Incidentally--select tablet size based on monitor size, per Jared. NONE of the Wacom sales material I looked at before buying the small tablet made that point clear. If you use a 30" monitor, you need a big tablet.)

I am so excited to see what creative live's team of world class creators and story tellers will teach us. I will be receiving my first wacom tablet today. and am very excited to see and learn from Jared Platt.

Anything Jared Platt teaches is going to be wonderful!! Can’t wait to see him teach about the Wacom tablet!! I have a tablet and want to see a fantastic photographer use a Wacom!! I can’t get the hang of the tablet yet and I know Jared will inspire me and others!!
