Brooke has always been one of my favorite instructors. Not just because of her art that she creates, but rather her message of creating art for yourself and no one else. Her willingness to try new things in spite of the possibility of failing publicly is inspiring, and she makes art, especially photography and digital art, accessible to anyone. One of the best classes I have viewed on Creative Live in 2 years. Brooke's straightforward, simplistic but savvy approach comes across in a personal way. The bite-sized lessons are great with none too long timewise maintaining interest and creating natural breaks. Brooke never fails to deliver. I found this course superb from start to finish. From exercising your creative 'muscle', demystifying taking self portraits, and showing that they don't have to be perfect before you begin editing, to walking you through her editing process and how to price your work. Brooke's enthusiastic personality and excitement about the work shines through it all. Definitely recommended!

If you want to learn about fine art (series). This is the place to be. No secrets, the real stuff without secrets. She will leave no stone unturned. Photoshop without buying extra tools, everything you want know about business, shooting with stuff you find in your kitchen, local hobby shop... without a big budget... Less is more <3 and check also the other courses.

There is a lot of good information here. While the initial lectures can be a bit grueling, they were still worthwhile. For me, the magic really began once we got into the photoshoots and Photoshop, which was inspiring in showing what one can do; and not just what is possible, but what is attainable, with a little forethought and a few materials. If you are new to compositing, you may want to first try another of Brooke's classes here on Creative Live, although this one is fairly complete in itself.

After having followed all her previous lessons I thought I had already heard everything .. but NO! so much more information, I love it! Not only her working method is discussed she also gives a lot of tips about materials used, symbols, depth in your work, and making series. Brooke has a knack for conveying all this information in an interesting way. After the trial lesson I could no longer restrain myself and I also wanted to purchase this class.
