tools and techniques for shaping light for any shoot
Light is the photographer’s most powerful medium. Professional photographers know how to shape it and reflect it, divert it and redirect it. They can tame its harshness and coax it into a subtle glow, use it to dispel troublesome shadows or highlight a striking moment.
Effectively curating light during a shoot can bridge the gap between mediocre images and truly captivating photography. All it takes to bend light to your will is knowledge of the right gear, and when to use it. Tony Corbell is a professional photographer and a master of studio lighting. Join Tony for this course, and you will learn:
I've seen Tony live and loved the practical insights he offered. It's all so useful, and this course is no exception. Uncomplicated and casual, Tony is like having a friend come over and show you what he knows. Tony isn't flashy (No pun intended), he's old school and that is all for the best.
I really like Tonys style of teaching, but the male model, what a miserable guy, looked like he didn't want to be there on every shot.
Bought this class on sale for 19$ and it was a great buy considering it was my first class I purchased on CL. Tony is an excellent teacher and demonstrates extensive knowledge on lighting and different uses of modifiers. Overall this is an excellent course for any one who is interested in learning studio lighting, this will give you a great detail of information.
Liked this course. It is about a lot more than light shaping tools. Tony has a strong emphasis on understanding the possibilities, rather than telling people 'what to do, or not', and he has a very pleasant style.
Wow!
Very good
Mostly very good.
This is one of the best how to lighting programs that I have seen. I was there live, but still come back to it again and again when I am facing a new lighting challenge. At $19, it is an absolute steal.
really enjoyed Tony Corbell's class - watching as much and as many of his classes as I can - learning can be fun :)
Important information if you want to be a photographer. Great teacher, good pace!!
Tony made this natural light photographer love adding artificial light to all of my photoshoots. He explained each light shaping tool in such a way that it was easy to understand and quickly put into practice.
I found this class to be very helpful for me in understanding how different light shaping tools create different effects on subjects. More importantly I found Tony's instruction to be personable, affable, and understandable. Learning how to use a light meter properly, trusting the tools that we have at our disposal, and that us photographers have total control over highlights and shadows--and what tools to use to achieve various looks, made this class invaluable to my continued learning.
It's a excellent class and great teacher.
the class is great but there is a lot of breakage in the video.
This is my first time watching Tony Corbell teach and work he was great! I am a natural light photographer and this class made me think about picking up some lights and umbrellas! You can tell he absolutely loves what he does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Best Lighting course ever.
Learned a lot from this course - I wish I had Tony as my lecturer or a mentor.
