Adobe Photoshop Mastery: Retouch and Restore with Ben Willmore

This is a wonderful class, with lots of important and very usefull information and tips, presented thoroughly by an excellent and charismatic teacher. I have learned many things but most importantly i have found answers to many questions about tools and methods and helped me settle my information and knowledge in order so I can make use of them in practise, not only in restoring old photos but in retouching in general. Thank you!!!

Excellent Teacher- I will be doing more of his training, he is always surprising me with his knowledge. He has lifted my spirits to dive into working with my clients old photos with enthusiasm . I will have to re-watch his lessons and find some of my photos to work with. I was needing more advanced training in restoring & color correcting of old photos. Most teachers- teach the basics to med, but Ben goes beyond. Ben demonstrates other ways of fixing difficult color problems, whereas, I would have taken it into camera Raw- to bring out more detail before turning it into a B&W. His knowledge, will improve my skill and workflow. Thanks to the other people who have brought in old photos to you. I have encountered similar problems, with no clue how to fix them or it took me the long way around the barn to get it done. Even when I have watched a few of his other training courses, he still throws in some restoration problems & fixes, which helps me a lot. Thank you Ben and CreativeLive.

Great class! I learned so much taking the course. Sat down with it from beginning to end. I know that I have a lot more to learn, but it has really helped improve my work.

I learned a ridiculous amount of new knowledge in this class. I would recommend this not only for restoring photographs, but even just learning a great deal about Photoshop.

This class has taught me so many new skills, Ben explains everything really well without being long winded. Very well prepared classes! I found the Camera Raw techniques super useful. I work with Operation Photo Rescue, this organization restores photos for natural disaster victims at no cost. I have almost completely abandoned using tonal/color etc. adjustment layers in Photoshop and now do nearly all the corrections in Camera Raw. Thanks so much!

Ben is one of my favorite instructors on CreativeLive. (That's saying a LOT because they are all so good!). Besides being very thorough and understandable, Ben sets himself apart with two things. 1. He thoroughly demonstrates a process, then does a recap of all the steps he just took. That makes it much easier to remember. 2. His wife takes notes during the broadcast and creates a handbook which is available to download when you purchase the course. Some people find it easier to learn by reading than by re-watching the video. I like it because I can find information by using a word search. I feel so fortunate that I was able to sit in the audience for this class. It was great to be able to talk directly to the instructor and interact with the other students.

Super class! Ben is the best at explaining Photoshop and how to make full use of it. This class included techniques I've never seen or heard explained in other photo restoration classes I've taken. And the accompanying book, while I've only glimpsed through it so far, is expansive, well laid out, attractive, and looks to cover everything Ben went over in the class - it's a valuable resource as well (thank you, Karen Willmore, for all the effort you put in to produce a worthy complement to what Ben teaches.)

This was an excellent class. I learned so much. I have a bod of old family pictures that I can now go after. I can't wait for the workbook.

Ben just seems to get better and better. I've attended some of his classes in the past and enjoyed them. Every class reveals things I didn't know and always look forward to learning from him. I appreciate the course downloads. I'm not one that can just watch it once and I have it all. Sometimes I have to go over and over before I finally have it. Wow! That is pretty much what I thought about the course. It was my first live studio experience and it was fantastic! Ben is a great instructor because he presents the information in a straight forward manner that is understandable, detailed, and concise all at the same time. I have a couple of his other classes and the handbooks his wife creates are exemplary and make going back and reviewing the rebroadcast so much easier. Also, I want to give a shout off to the Creative Live team...Kudos! They are an excellent host...they are professional and fun at the same time! The content they produce has helped me tremendously to expand my knowledge and skills and mostly importantly they are affordable!

This course has answered all the questions I have had for years. I have boxes full of very old family photographs, many from late 1800's that need reconstruction so they can be shared with current family members. Ben did not just cover fixing the easy fixes, he covered just about every defect that I need to fix on them. I started watching the free course and taking notes and after about 20 minutes, I bought the course. This is my 3rd Ben Wilmore course. Thanks also to his wife for the excellent documents on my previous courses. I am looking forward to the course documents for this course.
