I really enjoyed the effects and seeing his creative process here. I immediately started experimenting on my own, using my own photos and vision to create resources and effects I will use.
Corey Barker shows step-by-step how to create several effects. He does an excellent job explaining how the effect is created, allowing students to build on the skills and develop additional effects.
I really enjoyed this class! Learned lots of new .tricks
Wow- I learnt so much! Usually Im excited if I get 1-2 lightbulb moments, but this class gave me lightbulb overload! Love it!!!
love the concept and ideas in this class but it needs updating as photoshop has changed so finding the filters and working out how to use them is now tricky as this uses photoshop 2017 please get Corey to bring it up to date.
This class presents advance compositing and special effects presented in unique easy to understand manners. They are essential tools for any Photoshop users who are looking for to improve their editing and retouching skills. I highly recommend this course to all users of Photoshop.
Corey is a master at this which is what I would expect from an instructor. The techniques are way beyond my experience level in Photoshop, however. They do not seam simple at all and he goes very fast. I would have to pause the video every few seconds to be able to replicate (which is why buying the class is a good idea for things you want to learn), but with only having Photoshop 6, it would probably take even longer to figure out the legacy commands to achieve each action since he's using Photoshop CC. Just know that this is advanced-level stuff when considering!
Excellent class but not for beginners. I have been using photoshop for over 10 years and I had a little trouble keeping up. Many thanks for the downloads. I learn more from doing not just watching.
This was a great class. I love owing it because I can watch it over again.
This is kind of stuff you just won't find anywhere else. Cory shows you all kinds of obscure tools, tips and tricks that can really be useful as you work in PS. I learned a boatload of new tricks in just a few minutes of watching this. Geez he is good!
so good. I always recommend Corey's classes
He has a lot of good information but talks too fast. I wish he'd slow down.
This course is AWESOME! So many cool ideas and ways to do them! I've always relied on finding brushes to suit my needs, and didn't realize how easy it is to make those brushes and effects! Thank you!
The ZIP containing class materials did not have the sparks or smoke file...only the fire one.
This class is geared for someone much more experienced in Photoshop than I am. So the speed Corey is speaking with little explanation to the steps, makes this class not as helpful as I had hoped for. Even if I go back and watch segments over and over it will still be difficult to absorb because Corey is talking so fast!!! Little disappointed for me. Sorry! Lot's of important info though!!!
I learned a ton in this class. Yes, he moves fast, so you need to know basics of PS. But I liked that it moved fast because I don't need all the explanation of how to get to certain things...that would drive me nuts. I really liked what he had to share!
i found this class to be very informative. the image and description were a bit misleading but I did enjoy the subjects covered. well worth the time. I think he went through the steps quickly, you do need a better than average understanding of layers and tools as he isn't always clear as to the "path" of how to do certain steps. I took notes, attempted the project and listened to the lesson again to reiterate the sections that my notes weren't too clear. also was more focused on watching the process vs just writing it down. would recommend this class to anyone who wants to step up their skils in PS.
A very interesting, informative, and dynamic class. The instructor moved fast, but not too fast. Something I would like to throw out there; this is an advanced Photoshop tutorial. If you don't have a better than average understanding of Photoshop you are not going to find it easy to keep up. That isn't the instructor's fault or problem. Learn the basics and stop whining that the class did not slow down so you could keep up.
I started watching this course to see if I wanted to purchase it. I always wanted to learn composites, but this course would not be it for me. Corey talked way too fast, jumped around, and never explained how to do certain things, including the extraction method.
Great short course. Love to see advanced photoshop classes like this. Cory is great and an excellent instructor.
Nice short course, If I have a question now after I got where can I send it.
Another great class by Corey! If you're not used to the more design-centric features of Photoshop, this class is fast paced and you may want to pause often of watch it again. Corey covers so much content in this short class, such as adding a flare, bokeh effect, light, snow, rain, a crack in glass, fire, smoke, texture, water drops... So many ideas to incorporate into my photos!
I wanted the class in order to create something like the cover photo. Sadly, it was not one of the examples. But I did learn a bunch of new tools, including the ones I used to make something related to the cover photo. Even without that, this class is totally worth it. Incredible tools I never used before, that I will definitely use going forward. I'll be looking for Corey's classes in the future. Corey promised to include a couple of brushes in the class materials. I don't see them yet, but Photoshop Week just ended, so presumably they will be posted soon.
Wowza. I have watched a lot of Creativelive classes and this one really blew me away. Corey demonstrated some amazing techniques. He moves quickly and does not go into a whole lot of depth. It took me several times watching to catch everything that he does. I feel very inspired to try out some of these new effects in my workflow. Thanks. More classes from Corey please.
I learned so much from this class! Photoshop tools that I wasn't aware that Photoshop could do and lots of useful techniques.
