Fundamentals of Photography
John Greengo
the ingredients of memorable images.
Awesome to watch a legendary photographer that cares about his photo as an expression of a human being.
I can listen to this man talking for days
I enjoyed this class very much. Frans is a good instructor and I wish I lived closer so I could attend one of his workshops in person! This class is the next best thing.
Very much enjoyed this class, Frans has a very natural way of teaching that helps to understand the nuances of seeing a potential photograph.
I tend to agree that you can find similar information for free on the Web; Nevertheless, I learned lots on how to look for all different options to compose a picture with the available elements. Wait to buy this course when price is at least 50% off. Language was not a barrier even when is my second language. Respectfully.
Good example how the mind of experienced photographer goes through when approaching scenes. The steps taken to get the shots you like to see and show. Worth watching again.
Loved this course with Frans Lanting. His explanations were awesome. I learned to "see" things in a way I have not seen before. I also was inspired to go back to my own safe haven at St. Marks Wildlife Refuge and "create." So much to practice but love that I can always come back to review this class/course for more inspiration. I would love to join one of his workshops.
Excellent example of how a true artist goes through his mental checklist and narrows down his view to the shot he imagined.
I really, really, really enjoyed this course. I watched it when I was forced indoors by 100+ degree weather, and the constant sound of the surf cooled my brain. Frans is very easy to like and learn from. After spending this much time with him, I feel he should know me if I walked up and shook his hand--his personality extends so easily through the screen. He both reinforced my own sense of how to approach seeing a location and encourage me to see in different ways. His review of tech was mouthwatering as those look like some pretty high end cameras, but he finished the whole day by recommending his iPhone as the best camera he ever had. I was sorry when I finished this class; I wanted to go with Frans to a new location and do the same thing all over again. Thanks for a terrific value from CreativeLive.com!
Simply well done. I follow Frans Lanting from Italy from the beginning. So I've been very happy to see this field photo sessions. I know lot of people here willing to buy the course but they don't do it 'cause of the language. Maybe a good idea could be the subtitles. I have to note that I follow many others on CL but Frans is really easy to understand for a no-mother-language pheraps for the extreme calm of his exposition. Tanks Frans: I hope to know you in a workshop one day or another.
Frans speaks clearly, yet packs his videos with a lot of information. He offers one simple take away. This works if you are a beginner or have some experience. Pick one location and make a case study of it. Explore it, learn it. Then a wide variety of dynamics will appear.
Great teaching. Philosophy with a camera. Congratulations.
I absolutely LOVED this course! Frans is extremely likeable and shares so much of his knowledge - every video was full of great information and ideas. Fantastic - would highly recommend this to everyone!
Simple easy to understand class for landscape and seascape photographers. A must for any level.
Really great. Would have loved for him to tell us where and how he was focusing.
Frans' work is magnificent. I loved getting insight into his thoughts and processes. Always a treat to be invited into an artist's tool bag. The value is here.
a really excellent class with a very humble Frans Lansing. Good explanations of EVERYTHING; composition, light and equipment. REALLY want to take one of Frans courses in person. Such a lovely person it seems. Thank you Frans!! I have posted some of my work and I am now inspired to do some of the gorgeous water shots you took WOW!!!
