Holiday Light Bokeh

Hey, guys. Welcome to creative lives. Creative Photography Challenge. Today's challenge is using holiday lights to create a portrait with Boca. Now, why would we want to do this? Well, a lot of photographers are always looking for a way to include Boca and their portrait's These lights behind me was about 300 of them, and they're super cheap. Doesn't take much to get this project going. Let's stop here. Camera lights, a wins. This is what it takes to make this photo work. Having an open aperture, make sure your camera is close to your subject. Make sure your subject is far away from the lights. Went ahead and took a couple of sessions and it turns out my settings were wrong. So went ahead and changed them to a shutter speed of 1 2/100 of a second. Still, at 1.8 with my aperture. But now my eye, so is at 6 40 again. Let's try this out about three feet from my subject. Good quick of the mouth. This shot is good now and I like it. But what would happen if we were to turn off all the extra...

lights and only have the background lights. You're gonna have to boost my eyes so quite a bit. Drop the shutter speed down to 1 1/100 of a second, and I s I was moving to 1600 tries again. That's great. That's a completely, completely different look. If you haven't done so already, go to creativelive dot com CPC to get these challenges sent directly to your all along and your photos will be featured.

I love the format of this class. Each challenge is presented in a quick, yet thorough manner. It is a great way to try new techniques. The best way for me to learn is by doing and the format of this class gives me the perfect opportunity to do so.
