Facebook Insights Walk Thru

facebook's audience insights manager allows you to get a better understanding of your audience as compared to the rest of people on facebook, since facebook has data on so many people who are active users. It's a very valuable and powerful tool for target. Let's walk through the tool to see the power of the tool in action first, how we log on, we're gonna type in business dot facebook dot com. You hit enter, you click on this little hamburger menu on top and it brings up on the left hand side under plan, you click on audience insights, the audience insights tool will allow you to go with everyone on facebook or look at people connected to your page based on the amount of data that you have or the amount of followers that you have on facebook. You may or may not have enough data to specifically look at people connected to your page. For now, let's just look at everyone on facebook so we can understand how the tool works. The tour will do is we'll show you this first left hand side is about defining your audience, who specifically is it that you're looking to understand? In this case, we can look at particular region in particular country or even look at a particular city, so we can look at Brooklyn in new york as an example. And let's say, we want to pick people age 25 - 34. I can also pick people based on their interests. And this is the same interest that we looked at when we looked at the targeting opportunities or that we look at. When we look at the targeting opportunities on facebook, you can see we can pick from a number of things from hobbies to drinks, to family, relationships, to health and wellness, two jobs relationships etcetera. So pick whatever interests that are aligned with your persona that you've identified and see how that persona now looks as compared to the rest of facebook. Once we pick that, we can look at the charts and the charts will tell us the changes Of age and gender and how the age and gender of our group compares to everybody on Facebook. If you recall, we selected people specifically ages 25-34. So that's why it's 100% 25-34. And as you can see that is much higher than the rest of Facebook. You can also look at a number of different tabs on top. So when we can look at their demographics of the audience we selected. We can also look at the things that they like. What pages do they like specifically, Which pages do they? Which categories are they interested, which pages are they look looking at? Or clicking on? We can also click on the tab of location to get an idea of location or country or top language that's associated with a group of people that we've selected. We can also look at the their activities in a lifetime. How many of them have liked the page commented posts like the post. Like to share the post, clicked on an ad, redeem the promotion. We can start to look specifically how many and who is using which type of device? The end. You can save your audience right here and after you save your audience, you can come back to this audience at any time to analyze how that audience looks or compares to the rest of facebook. And then you can go ahead and create your ad at the end by pressing this button.
