Building Our Coupon Chat Blast
Welcome back to this exciting lecture chatbot fans. This is super exciting because we're going to actually go and build our first chat bots and this is a chatbot that we're going to send out. So really awesome. So let's go ahead and do it back in here in mobile monkey. And again we're building our first coupon sale chatbot and the beautiful thing is I know based on my on my diagrams and my planning exactly how I want to build it and what I want to actually build and what I want to say. Um so we're gonna start off with a quick question, so I'm gonna add a quick question and with a quick question, you always want to be engaging, right? We want to start off by asking the user a question and remember this is a sofa maybe like this is a and remember you have to also know your business. So who are your customers, what your demographics, what are people um you know sort of what are people like and make it relevant to your, to your business? So I'm gonna start off by saying, hey first name and...
if you don't get the twirly down when you open up the two squiggly bracket, sometimes you just need to type it in manually. Ah So I just sort of had this idea maybe we'll ask them how many hours a night they they spend on their couch, something like that. Okay, so again this is something to be light, it's to be engaging and remember we said if we if we get somebody to respond to our blast, we get to keep them on our audience. So it's also good to um engage even though that's the primary focus of a drip campaign, there's nothing wrong with making that happen in a chat blast. So we're gonna do a new attribute called throw away because I don't need to, oh I think I have a throwaway saved, right? I don't I don't need to save that attribute I'm not going to use however they answer this um in any specific way. So I'm gonna let them be a text response. Okay so meaning free form, I don't really care what they answer, I just want them to engage, I want them to engage with my body. Um Now I'm gonna respond with something light and fun. Maybe we'll do, let's say find a Jiff of like a couch potato. Um I opened up the Jif widget couch potato, I don't know, let's see This 1's pretty funny. You have the dog on the couch. Um and I'm gonna put in now a text widget that talks about the coupon. So first I'm going to type in widget maybe we'll do typing for four seconds or so four or five seconds, give it a break and we're going to now right in our coupon code so remember we want to do scarcity and urgency so I'm gonna type in first name so far mania is running LTD and promotion this week and we're offering coupon code only available available through facebook messenger. So and I was doing a lot of talking and in a gallery which it takes some time. So it was just five minutes to build a really useful and what I think is going to be an effective chat blast. Um So what I want to do in the next lecture is test the chat blast before we actually send it out live to debug any issues that might happen. This is a very important step. I anticipate even though I think I built this well and I don't think there are any problems I anticipate there may be being something you want to change when we find some errors or whatever it is. So in the next lecture we'll talk about testing the chapel at the chat blast will actually test it. But I do hope you found this lecture exciting actually building a chat blast.
