So we're going to cover an introduction to amazon PPC, amazon PPC stands for amazon pay per click. So what actually is this? So it's pretty cool because this is the amazon built in advertising platform and it's very simple. So the great thing about the simplicity is that means you can get started for basically no money and you can get your product advertised on amazon without much. So pay per click means every time somebody clicks on your amazon advertisement. So these advertisements are usually right when you put it right, when you search something, let's say you're searching your computer, it will say advertise sponsored listing by amazon and it will put a product in the top once somebody clicks on that, that means they will be charged a certain amount of money and this is determined by a bid. So it's really awesome because it's a great opportunity to sell more products online. It just throws you to the top of the search rankings for any keyword you want and this is literally any cur...
ed, let's say I'm selling a light bulb, I can advertise it under a keyword for computers, I don't know why I would do that. It would be a waste of money, but I could have a light bulb showing on when, when you search computers, it's super weird, but we can make that happen. So amazon sponsored ads, like I said, it's super, super simple and it's great for people that aren't really familiar with advertising, but just want to try to boost their product listings. So amazon's PPC is based on paid search, I'm not sure if you've heard of paid search before, but it's the exact same thing that google uses. So when you search some query on google, you're gonna be like, I'm looking for dog leashes right there and boom, you find a search where you're on the top and it says sponsored and that means it's a sponsored listing that takes you to some site And then below that are the actual search listings. Typically there are four links for different positions on Google's search when you go there and then the 5th one would be an actual organic search. This exact same thing as the amazon, amazon gets millions of users coming to their site every year and they search for a ton of different items. So you do, like people go when they go to amazon, they don't really want to window shop or browse around, they know exactly what they want and they'll input the search query and then once they search for that, all these results will pop up some organic, some are paid and you should be in the paid listing because you're going to generate a lot, a lot more sales
