Hi everybody. I'm Stasia and I'm excited to answer a few of the questions that you've asked throughout the session. As usual, we've received quite a few of them. So remember if we don't get to your questions, we'll go back and answer them on the grow with google on air page below the the virtual that shortly after it concludes. Okay, so let's take a look at the questions that we've got. The first one is from dan dan dan asks, how do I anticipate which keywords or phrases my customers will use to search for my kind of business. Okay, so it's all about the types of questions. Consider the questions that your customers may come to you with and the keywords or phrases that are, that are included in those questions. Let's take an example, let's say that you have a, you want a landscaping company and so people might start with questions like how much does it cost to or how long does it take to or how to do? And then that would be followed by the topic or whatever they were asking about. If w...

e kind of made that more specific question could be like how much does it cost to cut down a tree and if that's a service that you provide, you can focus on that type of word or phrase to find your ideal audience. So I hope that helps. Okay, let's look at the next question. This one is from Tanisha and she asks, what is the best way to make my ads come up first. Hey Anisha. So this goes back to the previous question, there are lots of factors that could impact your ad position. Um it's all about the questions again, so think about think about what the person is looking for. Think about the words or phrases that they might be typing in and those words and phrases and the relevance of them to your business is one of the most important ingredients for pay per click marketing or that's what google ads is. So to get your ad to come up first um it'll look at a variety of factors, things like the relevancy of your ad to whatever it is that person typed in. It will also look at things like how much you're willing to pay for a click. Now the bid price, what you're willing to pay right click does come into play, but just because you're willing to pay the most for the click being the highest bidder, that doesn't mean that your ad will necessarily come up first because google is also going to put a big priority on the ad. That is the most relevant answer to that question to that search. Query. So, again, think about anticipating what people are searching for, what they want to find and then you can create an ad that really helps answer that question. Alright, I hope that helps. All right, let's look at the next question. This is from jeremy, Hey, jeremy, how are you? And he wants to know, is there a best type of ad campaign? Okay, so jeremy, there's not really a best ad campaign type. It depends, it depends on your specific needs and your goals. If you are brand new to advertising or you're just getting started, smart campaigns is a simple way to start to get up and running and to connect with customers. You can use it to understand your customers, see what works and what doesn't when it comes to your ads. But as you become more comfortable with the system, if you are in advanced advertiser or you want to start using some more advanced features, you can try out different types of campaigns in the system to access that. But smart campaigns is probably the easiest way for you to get to get started with the advertising on google. Okay, next question, this is from Sarah. Hi Sarah, thank you for being here today. Sarah asks, can you explain the differences between the search network and the display network when it comes to ads is one better than the other. Okay, absolutely, I can explain it. So search ads appear within google search results pages on that search results page and on other websites when your keywords are relevant to whatever that person searched for. So going back to our landscaping example, if I was searching for landscaping and that was a key word that you were using and it was relevant to your business. It could be eligible to appear on that search engine results page now in the search network. The ads can also appear on google search sites like google play google shopping, google images, google maps and other google search partners. That's the first one. The second piece is the google display network. And the display network lets you show ads beyond google search when people are browsing on websites are checking gmail or using a mobile device. Um, you also have different format options that are available on the display network. That's where you can show image ads and video ads. The search network can help you connect with potential customers when they're in that process of searching and looking for products and services. But the display network is really useful when you're trying to capture their attention maybe earlier in that buying cycle. Well they're not necessarily even shopping yet, but they could see a product or service that would be interesting to them based on what they're looking at on those web pages. So I hope I answered your questions. Let's keep going on. So this one is from THEA, THEA and THEA asks how can I increase the ranking of my business listing on google idea. Okay, so much like S. E. O. Search engine optimization, the more relevant, consistent and engaging your content is the more frequently that your business can show up or potentially show up in the local search results. To improve the chances for that listing. This is called a business profile by the way. So to improve the chances of your business profile surfacing in google's local search results, make sure that all of your information is accurate and up to date. And you can also keep it fresh by regularly adding content like photos and videos and posts. All right, next question. So this one is from Derek and he asks, how much do I need to spend in ads? Hey Derek to go and thanks for being here today. Okay, So there's no specific set amount that you need to spend to advertise with google ads. You're going to set a budget. That makes sense for you and for your business goals. Google won't exceed this budget. It's basically, you know what you set is, what the system can spend and there's no minimum ad spend required. There's also no contract fee, no set up fee and no cancelation. See if you want to learn more about it. You can go to the google ads website and we'll have all that information about how their billing cycles work. All right, Next question is from an and an asks, I already have a business website. Do I need a business profile to the short answer is yes. If you can I would definitely have both. If another reason because anna showed you the search engine results page today and if you remember you can have different opportunities to appear on that page to your website. Can appear in those organic results. And they might also here if you're advertising but then you can also show it on that business profile, much like SEO search engine optimization. The more relevant and consistent your profile is, you know, the more likely it is to service. Um you want to create it because it's free. It's another opportunity to appear on the page and it can complement your website. It shows google, it shows the searches on google that you are a local business and can really help, you know, make you stand out to a local audience by showing up on google search and google maps. So yes, do both if you can. All right, next question is from Parker and Parker asks, can I put photos on my business listing again. The business listing is called business profile and the answer to that is absolutely. You can add photos and videos to your business profile and this will really help your customers get an idea of what to expect when they visit your store. Um you can upload your own photos or videos and customers can also add them as well. Um I don't have the stats right in front of me. But looking at internal stats, we've seen that the business profiles that have more photos and videos generally get more interaction. So it's one of the easiest ways. Whenever I teach a class, I encourage people to get into the habit of regularly adding photos as they complete a project or they get a new product or service in or they have a happy customer or just some things change so you can give them that visual that shows them information and context about your business. Okay, next question. This is from Ollie or Ollie and the question is what could be causing my website to load slow. Okay, so there's a number of factors that can slow down the web pages on your site. It could be the code that was used to make the pages. It could be that there are really large images or videos that are on the pages that slow it down. That that is an issue that you do want to address. So what I would recommend is looking at Google's free test my site tool, you can actually enter your website and it will generate a list and a report of customized recommendations that you can use to actually go and improve your website. It can actually help you implement them to increase the speed on your site. And some of those recommendations maybe a little bit more technical but you can share them with your web developer as well and then he or she can help you improve the speed of your site. Okay. The next question is from Preston and it's the last one. So Preston asks, how can I be sure Google is showing my website in the search results. Okay. Preston. So in anna's session, she showed you a tool that can really help, it's called google Search console. So google the algorithm. The computer program is going to automatically crawl and index web content but you can use search console to get some insight into a view of what can google is google vetting there and can they access the pages on your site? It also gives you there are lots of reports and features and it can give you alerts if there are any errors. For example if if google is getting to your website but can't read the pages or understand the pages. Search console is the tool to help you answer those questions and you can get to it by visiting g dot ceo slash search console. Okay? Just double checking, make sure everybody's questions in here.
