How to Get Started in Nature Photography with John Greengo

John gives a great introduction to landscape photography. It's a basic overview, but even if you've shot landscapes for a years, John's class is succinct and through. If you are a beginner, it's pure gold.

Well presented, with useful diagrams and photographic examples. Concise, friendly and no time-wasting fluff. Easy to watch at 1.5x, if you like things faster.

This was an informative, rapid fire version of John's longer form classes. I picked up several tips even in this abridged format.

A great introduction to travel photography. This course is quite short compared to other courses but Greengo does a great job of covering the basics in enough detail that you feel confident enough to move forward.

This is my 3rd John Greengo class and I'm becoming addicted. Excellent instructor, very knowledgeable, explains things clearly. Some things I was doing instinctively without understanding why but now that I do understand my confidence has grown. Highly recommend this class!

Good course. I really wish the camera settings were labeled on all the photos as far as aperture, shutter speed and ISO.

I enjoyed this class. I wish John would have explained the polarizer filter a little bit more. There is a Circular Polarizer, Linear Polarizer, Warm Polarizer, and Low Light Polarizer - yet, he only says that we need a polarizer. Which polarizer needs to be used on the XT2 with a 35mm f2 lens? The Circular, Linear, Warm Low Light? I also wish the different areas of the video were labeled so that we could easily access that area. For example, the hyper focal distance scale is around 42 minutes. This information could easily be listed on the web page.

I got this course for free thru View Bug and John Greengo is an amazing teacher. He explains nature photography with a sense of ease and he really makes you want to get out there and keep trying to get THE photo, that the day you go out there may not be the right day or right time, but to keep trying and you'll get it! He also encourages you to get out there to the same places other great photographers have been and make it your own, to get your own experiences. Yes, I recommend this course and any courses he instructs, I hope to take another one of his courses in the near future!
