Nature and Landscape Photography with John Greengo

John is an excellent instructor. Regardless of your experience level, you will learn something new from John. He is clear in his descriptions and shares lots of tricks with the audience. I absolutely loved and enjoyed this course. A+++

I purchased this class over year ago and return to it again and again. John is such an excellent instructor. No rock (pardon the pun) is left unturned when describing how to get any landscape shot imaginable. I can see anyone, beginner or advanced liking this course.

This is the third class of that I have take by John Greengo. His classes are clean, concise, and well thought out. I appreciate the structured style and the amount of information that is presented. So far he is my favorite instructor on creative live.

I bought this class as part of a landscape bundle some time back, but had not watched yet. To get psyched up for a trip to Yellowstone May 2021, I finally got around to watching this. John Greengo is an excellent teacher. He is very organized and clearly took a lot of advance time preparing understandable lessons with great visual examples of each point. From lens selection, tripods, filters, scouting locations, shooting different landscape areas, panoramics, there is a ton of useful info here. 1. Some of the material touches on beginner level, but sometimes it's good to review your basics, and John does a good job of starting at square 1 for each lesson and moving the information into more advanced areas so people don't get lost. 2. I was surprised to see this class was created 7 years ago. Every bit of it is still timely and useful.

I learned a great deal from this class and John does an excellent job in all aspects of presentation. He obviously has a wealth of knowledge on the subject of Landscape Photography! I highly recommend this class!

This is my fourth John Greengo class, I and greatly appreciate his insistence that images can be made in camera with the right tools and an applicable understanding of them. Not all images need to be edited or excessively post-processed, as his work reflects. I appreciate the depth of explanation about the options available for all styles of image-making; which are principles based on the basic functions of cameras and simple optics. I appreciate his clear, straightforward style of teaching, unfussy slides with lots of sample images, and the way he translates his gear-headed mind to right-brain thinkers! Enjoying and learning from all of his classes.

His commentary on compact cameras is way out of date. TheSony Rx 100 MK6/7 is way better and more sophisticated than the examples in his lecture. He needs an update. Howat Noble Toronto

I learnt to much from this class. It is an excellent course for both beginners and advance photographers. For the beginners, you get to learn a whole lot of stuff that you can start to use. For the advance photographers, there are some very useful pointers that you can use to fine tune your skills.

an excellent course, comprehensive, yet succinct - rather like john's photography! i've been doing nature photography for far more years than john's been alive, but i learned (or relearned) many recommendations, tips, and thought processes watching this series. i think this will get me through the next years in my own photography process. thanks john.

I already own several courses from John and I can say that some of the sections are duplicated but still is a very good information; he is very technical and you can see how well prepared his classes are; I can recommend this class for beginners and people with no experience at all. The material provided and the animations are just awesome. Respectfully Daniel Hernandez

Photography is about creativity, and I believe John Greengo helped my creativity in teaching solid, use-that-same-day knowledge about tools (i.e. macro, tele/wide lenses, tilt/shift, etc.) and the elements of art in photography. He was very encouraging, shared his wealth of knowledge, and I was oddly impressed with his slide show animations/demonstrations. What you won't get is: post-processing, in-depth editing tips, nor lots of fluff. Great work John!

Very helpful and in depth. It's a lot of material but so so so many helpful tips, tricks, and things to think about when taking photos. Every video gets me pumped to go out and shoot.

Very well presented. I enjoyed the class and learned quite a bit.

Very good speaker. Makes everything super easy to understand with the examples and they way he describes things. Jam packed with information. He answers the audiences questions patiently and clearly. He is more engaging than some of the teachers. Some of the classes have great information but are hard to get through. With the amount of beautiful examples and his easy going manner this class was not boring.

I'm hooked already. John if fab. I've tried signing up for a couple of photography courses and they always let me down by cancelling. This is truly the best way for me to learn - from the Master :) Thank you John.

Mr. Greengo shows his expertise and explains details very well. I wish he would have shown settings he used in some of the photos. Great class!!

Good class for beginners

This is very helpful! My family and I are going to Ireland in the summer, so I was curious about taking landscapes. I understand what I'm going to need to get the photos I want!

I thoroughly enjoyed this class. John explains things in such a way it's easy to understand and his visual slides then back up and demonstrate what he has just explained. I took notes and photos of his presentations throughout so that I can take them with me while I'm out in the field. Thanks John!

I can't say enough about what a worthwhile course this was. I have been a photographer (as a hobby) for many years and I learned many useful things. John is an excellent teacher and is very good at explaining why things you have always heard, but haven't really practiced, are really important.
