Finding, Defining, and Marketing Your Photographic Style with Julia Kelleher

Really fantastic class! I especially enjoyed the Skype interviews with other photographers as well as the members of the class who were willing to sit in the "hot seat" and have their style defined. Very inspiring and encouraging.

Just finished the course. Julia, you are of the most inspiring teachers ever! Thank you for putting things out so simply and clearly. In one course I've understood so much about me. I highly recommend the course for anyone who struggles to put words on what they feel about their artistic style. If you follow the course and do all the assignments with a real meticulousness, you will get there 100%. Thank you, Julia!

Lots of great info. However, I was absolutely appalled to see she gave examples of graphic art as her favorite photography. As someone whose been shooting since the 70's, I respect the are of graphic art, but it is NOT photography. The business aspects are great. Worth a watch for that, but don't expect to see actual photography as examples.

Great motivator. You've TOTALLY convinced me to "fix the inside." Now if you can teach us HOW to do this, the execution, you'll be brilliant.

it was truly inspiring and motivating, but more importantly easily digestible b/c she breaks it down into a tangible process to follow - no matter what your style or genre of photography! THANK YOU- Julia is great!!!! The only thing I wished was for some more variety in examples of genres - it seemed all about babies/families/weddings and fine art. It would've been more helpful to show how her same process would work for let's say a Product Photographer vs a Portrait Photographer vs a Travel Photographer, etc.......

I never would have thought there could be a step by step process to defining and refining your creative style but Julia spelled it out perfectly without making it homogenized at all. Great class. A step by step way of finding a artist style that is from your heart. Stop hoping the style fairy will randomly visit you some day. I view this in-depth system as a smart exploration component integrated with a gut check component. Julia has laid it all out smartly and easy to follow. The work itself will not be easy but the steps are beautifully explained. Brilliant! Buy the course. Yeah I will be using it for years. Shelle

Boy does Julia hit home with this session. I'm at a stage that I really needed this workshop. I've seen her work before but she really took it over the top with this one. I've gotten more out of this class than any other class I've taken on Creative Live. Julia is an awesome motivator and great confidence builder. She does this by actually giving direction about how to get where you want to go.

Wow - this may be my favorite Julia Kelleher class (and I own several). So much of what she talks about hits home with me, really speaking to where I am at in my photography journey and the struggles I grapple with every day. Lots of hard truths - the kind that remind us as to the necessity of good old fashioned hard work (really, really hard work) - the need to be truly technically proficient - the need to experiment - the need to practice every single day - repetition ("wash, rinse, repeat!") - and the need to continue learning all the time. I also really appreciate the fact that Julia touches on the PPA (Professional Photographer's of America) CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) process a bit. I just took my CPP exam and will be working my way through the image submission phase of the CPP process over the course of the next year; so it was nice to hear Julia's thoughts and experience in her own CPP journey. I NEEDED this course. Julia and Creative Live - thank you for bringing this to us. And Julia, thank you for diving deep into the hard realities that we need to hear and know in order to truly grow and evolve artistically and professionally.

Wow wow wow, as an artist on a beginner's stage this was an amazing presentation. Julia is a pro on teaching the psychology of the artist within ourselves. I will follow her from now on and start putting in practice her step by step techniques on finding my style as an artist. Thank you Creativelive and Thank You Julia, you are amazing
