Introduction to Using Multiple Flashes with Mike Hagen

I’ve been using my DSLR for a few years now and have steered away from the flash. It just seemed daunting to me for some reason. But I want to shoot my own product photos and it’s time to learn the flash setup. This class has been super helpful. It’s broken down into terms anybody can understand and I love that he goes step by step in the setup. This class has more than paid for itself with what I’ve learned.

I am only half way through this class...but I cannot wait until the end of it to write a review ( I don't often write reviews on classes)... But this is probably the BEST class I have found on Creative Live. Mike Hagen knows what he is talking about, explains it succinctly yet thoroughly, and demonstrates all the concepts he explains. This is really a fantastic class and at an even fantastic-er price. Well worth the money, and is a great help. The instructor does a very good job explaining the methods, light shapers, and effects they create. One of my favorite videos!

I'm half way through the 2nd video and he already answered the questions I bought the course to understand. I have tell already it's a 5 start course.

MIke Hagen is an exceptional educator. Very easy to follow, lots of knowledge and he puts it all out there for you. His ease with dealing with some of the mishaps that happen with live multiflash set ups is admirable, troubleshooting is a valuable lesson. Thank you!

What can I say about this class? Mike is great- not only does he give a thorough break down of all the equipment one could need but he also includes wide variety of price options for those just getting started. Aside from his thorough knowledge of gear, Mike provides an excellent and easy to follow bread down of how to build up the light for your subject. His lesson plan is super easy to follow and very concise as he slowly builds up from using 2 lights to 5 lights. He also demonstrate what I think is a much needed trait in a photographer and that is being cool under pressure, dealing with issues and not getting rattled and simply going back to the basics. Creative Live Nailed it with this class

Mike is good, as usually! What surprised me, why he is using for these task LR... "- Let's see what we got... And, of course, the LT has not recognize the camera"... For thetering LR not even close to Capture One Pro...

Mike Hagen does a great job of presenting what could be a complicated process in a way that makes it easy to understand and implement. Not only does he make it easy to follow along, he presents alternative solutions that don't break the budget. I have viewed several instructors and various classes at Creative Live and this would definitely be one of my favorites. I have to say, this class would be a bargain at 10x the price!

Straightforward, focused, and easygoing class. Perfect for the beginner or someone who feels intimidated by flash. This class came just in time, as I'll be shooting my first wedding next month and I will be using everything I learned today.

Mike Hagen rocks! Simple, straight forward presentation of basic and intermediate techniques, and the reasons for using them. If you're starting out with flash this class should be a cornerstone of your library. -AO Photo, NJ
