The Art & Business of High-End Retouching with Pratik Naik

This is an excellent class. Pratik is an experienced, knowledgeable, and humble instructor who makes it a point to share his workflow and techniques while maintaining a "let's learn together" mindset that is really refreshing. Yes, he's a talker, but that isn't bad as he drops so much insight and information each time he opens his mouth! Pratik also patiently dispels a lot of misinformation and always explains the why behind the how or what, which is a sign of a great teacher! I put the speed on 1.5 or 1.75, pop in some earbuds, and I listen while retouching. There is a wealth of goodies here for any photographer and/or editor at any level looking to step up their game. My skills have evolved from photo shoot conceptualization to post-processing, and it's safe to say I've gotten so much more than I thought I would when I purchased this course!

It's helpful, but boy, there is a lot of talking that doesn't necessarily help you improve your editing. I am watching at 1.25 speed, and I wish there would be a version condensed down to the 30% where you actually learn something.

I'm 18 minutes in and there's more information in this course than you would expect. It's subtle, but there are gems all through out. Probably worth more if you've been through a photoshoot before.

I can listen to Pratik talk all day!

This has got to be one of the best retouching classes out there in the on-line world! It definately has the best work flow and teaching flow! 1000% recommend this class.

Wow! By far the best course on retouching I have ever seen. Pratik shows what he's doing, why he's doing it and how to apply it in the real world. He has a great sense of humor too which makes it easy to listen to. Great Job.

Pratik's class is great! Absolutely worth the money. I've learned so much in this class. Yes, you can find all these techniques on YouTube as you can find there anything, BUT you have to search them. Here, you get everything ready ;)

It's a good course, but everything that's spoken here is on youtube! Unfortunately, I did not find anything new!

Pratik is one of the best teachers out there! His workflow, the way he explains his reasoning, it's all very easy to understand and the results speak. I agree with the downvoters that the first half of the class with the shoot is a bit dragged out and long but what shoot isnt when your teaching in front of a live class? Regardless this course is well worth it!

Great class. I feel I really got my moneys worth. It is quite a long class but it is full of information. He takes the time to explain why he does things a certain way, which I found very helpful. Would totally recommend the course.

Pratik gives us a thorough and engaging instruction in retouching. The course is organized in a straightforward intelligent way and Pratik is clearly immensely qualified to teach it. Amazing course.

I am half way through the course and at the beginning I found it to be a little bit slow. However when you get used to the rythm of this course you become complete Zen. For me, as a beginned in retouching it's an absolutely wonderful course! So many tips and tricks! Complete workflow explanation. I am so happy that I bought this course! Thank you!

I like it and I have learn a lot but, I believe it could be like half time, lot of time is filled with distractions and talking of nothing. i think is to much pep talk. I recomended it but I warn you It can be a little anoying the way he talks to much.

I fall in love with this lector. He made things so simple and crystal clear. The way he talk it's like easy installing difficult information to my brain.

I've been doing my own retouching for about 5 years but I still learned so much from this class. A lot of it is just little things like editing in new ways instead of the same way I have been. Pratik is a very good instructor and was very knowledgeable I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to learn new skills in retouching.

I have taken several retouching workshops and courses. Pratik's technique, for my use, is the simplest, quickest, and most effective. Not only has my work improved, I also better understand what I am doing instead of just blindly making changes with random techniques pieced together. And this workflow has cut down on my editing time. Being a photographer, I appreciate watching the entire flow from shoot to retouching.

One of the best classes on CL in retouching. Pratik's method makes sense and helped me improve all my editing and retouching a lot. Thank you for all the insights into High-End Retouching :)

This is easily the best class I own. Yes, it starts off a little slow but I understand that he is wanting you to know the importance of good photography before you even get into re-touching. I think he's letting photographers know that retouching shouldn't be a crutch which is great for retouchers. Then he gets into his workflow and knowledge. This part is POWER PACKED with unbelievable high-end non-destructive techniques. I always go back to certain videos for reminders and ideas. I go back to dodge and burn all the time as it's brilliant and non-destructive to the image! His revolutionary use of flow (and not opacity) is life changing. I think he's brilliant and generous with his knowledge and I will buy any class he teaches in the future. To be clear this class is my go-to encyclopedia for retouching.
