Choosing the Right Camera Lens with John Greengo

I could listen to John Greengo all day he has a great way of teaching Photography, he has taught me so much I only wish I had someone like John to teach me when I was younger. I would say anyone wanting to learn photography just look no further than John Greengo he is an excellent teacher I think I have most of his classes, for me he is brilliant.

While I can't say that taking the time to do research about a topic(s) is wasteful, had I come across this course sooner, I would have spared countless hours and a lot of frustration. John does a wonderful job creating a foundation of knowledge that was effortless to build upon. This is a valuable course for anyone starting out or wanting to build upon their baseline understanding.

John is one of the best instructors Ive watched. he's clear, concise, and gets right to the point. His display's and diagrams are so great, he makes very complicated subjects easy to understand, and fun. He holds your attention and interest b/c everything he says is valuable. This really helped me understand the vast complicated world of lenses. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who doesnt know what hyperfocal distance is.

Another great JG class, my 4th. He gives a lot of individual attention to several popular lens brands. I really think after seeing this video series you could pick out three lenses that would fit your needs and your pocketbook. The class handout is spot on for what is covered in the video. Great job!! This is my 3rd Jon Greengo class. I would recommend his classes to anyone who wants to learn about photography. Pleasant, calm professional style. I would lave to take one of his classes in person.

This was my first Jon Greengo class, but it will not be my last! I've heavily researched the lenses I have, but still learned a few valuable tidbits about using them, and some great info about future acquisitions. He zips through info to get as much as possible in the class, which I appreciate - no useless repetition and a lot of bang for the buck. Excellent!

I really love John's teaching style, the more you know about photography the more moments you'll be nodding along. But believe me you will still learn something John he goes into great detail and you will learn something awesome! Check it out!

Excellent class packed with incredibly useful knowledge. John is an amazing lecturer. He has also developed really great materials to help explain all the concepts and technologies that are explored in the class. Looking forward to my next class with him!

I now own four of John's Creative Live classes, and every one of them has been worthwhile. I debated before buying the Lens class, because I thought, "I know all that stuff". Wrong, as usual. :-) John taught me still more stuff that I didn't know that I didn't know. Great job, John.

I found that this class was one of the types of class (Lens) that are not talked about to often in other camera classes. It had some great information on what and where to use certain lens. I thought it was a great class and John is a great instructor.

This class answered any question I ever had in regards to lens', and questions I didn't even know I had yet. Even since watching it yesterday, I find I am assessing what lens would be ideal to shoot every day scenes as I go through my day. I wish something like this had been a part of my Digital Photography diploma program.

It was very informative and I learned a lot about the different lenses and what to look for when buying lenses as well as what to expect when suing them. I also prefer to use filters for all the reasons you stated. I look forward to taking other classes with John Greengo. Good teacher!!!
