Fine Art Photography: The Complete Guide with Brooke Shaden

This class totally exceeded my expectations. I got so much information from it... I really appreciate that Brooke also included topics that are rarely spoken about and that are crucial to know. She covered many things that you don't get in other classes.

It starts with soothing music, setting the mood for a journey you won't forget. Each image that appears isn't just a photo but a work of art, telling its own story. They're like windows into different worlds, frozen moments that still feel alive. You can't help but be captivated by the beauty and emotion captured in every frame.

Wow - this class was even better than I could have hoped. Brooke is an amazing communicator and teacher and is so open to sharing her process and the hows and whys behind what she does. The whole first part of the class (about developing your ideas) was excellent. The next part with compositing and creating was super fun, and seeing the project from start to finish was extremely valuable. Then the section about galleries and how and where to show and sell your work, not to mention all the great info on printing.... this course was worth every penny.

When the title says comprehensive, it means comprehensive! I loved every part of this course. It's inspirational, motivating, and insightful towards creating art work. Even if you are not necessarily considering a fine art specialty, the concepts discussed in this course are applicable to many areas! I find this super useful as a videographer and photographer and look to apply all of these exercises and concepts for my personal and business work moving forward. It is lengthy, but you will not regret a single minute. Brooke Shaden is an amazing artist and educator. I recommend keeping up with her work, presentations, and any future courses that may come in the future.

Brook Shaden is my favourite (I'm from NZ, and this is how we spell it :) ) Creative Live instructor. She is a fantastic teacher. This course is way too long ! It could easily be shorten by half. The kind of art that is presented does not inspire me. Too much theory and not enough of the practical stuff. I still give a thumb up because the course is well presented and informative for those people who have the patience to go through that long course.

The bonus compositing videos, done in option, for me it was th most imortant think and it was my motivation to folloiw this lesseon, have a very very, very fast speped, too fast for follow without trouble. So, i have a question : why given this support impossible to appy ?? i try with final cut to adapt a normal speed, but is so embarassing that i was in a very bad mood so i don't know if i recommand this class

Amazing course, very inspiring

Amazing course, from inspiration to working with galleries everything is covered. 25 hours! What a journey. I learned a lot, found many paths and ideas to follow, I have a better sense of what I can do to reach artistic success and find clients. It was very motivating. And just so you know, you don't need to be a conceptual photographer using photo softwares like Photoshop or Affinity Photo to enjoy that course.

There's a good mix of theory, marketing strategy, and technical aspects (shooting, editing/compositing). She does a great job communicating her ideas and is candid in how she shares what worked well for her in her career.

It is so great to have classes about the theory of creating fine art pieces. I think this might be the best class I own from CreativeLive - and I own quite a few! Brooke teaches about how she goes about creating ideas for fine art photography and then transfers her visions into reality. If you just want to know how she shoots and composites pictures then I'd recommend the other course she has on this site.

Definitively one of my top 5 classes that I have bought from CreativeLive. This is the class I have been waiting for. Brooke goes deeply into what most classes miss, She goes beyond the how int the why. She is an amazing artist and teacher. Every time I feel a bit lost in my journey I watch the class again!

I have seen the 1/4 of the entire class so far and I have to say that I feel awed by the whole new world of possibilities in terms of artistic expression. I was working mainly in Illustrator and now I feel inspired anew to create more in Photoshop too! Thanks Brooke and CreativeLive!

Brooke is an amazing teacher. She displays great energy and goes into quite. bit of detail in explaining this sometimes obscure field. I also appreciate the practical advice she gives on some rarely-discussed areas like pricing and editions. It takes a while to get through and absorb this material, but every minute of it is worthwhile.

I would defiantly recommend this class.. Brook has amazing work and share pretty much her whole creating process.. The only thing I could criticize is that the course is not really will structured and a little messy, She jumps back and forward between the topics and also the different topics (video playlist) could be more structured. Also Brook has 4 pretty similar courses.. And for me it’s not easy to decide wich one fits me best, which one should I watch and will it be repetitive? Nevertheless didn’t regret this course and I soaked it in till the end!

I really loved this class. The imagery is amazing and creative. I also love how Brooke breaks down how she thinks about creating her concepts. I actually thought of several ideas I'd like to create myself.
