Capture large family, wedding or group portraits
I have an upcoming event where I will shoot small groups of people. This class was very useful. I will be this knowledge to immediate use. Lindsay explains the details of lighting so it makes sense and can be used in the field. I definitely recommend this class.
Great class on posing groups! Just what I needed in order to do group shots during headshot sessions at company to allow teams to be photographed together!
helpful information about lighting groups plus some posing tips! I love her !
I really love this class, it was fast and with all the basic information, a total 101.
Very thorough without being overwhelming! I learned so much in this one course... Now I have to buy the book!
This class was - for now - the missing link when I shoot groups. Viewed the course last night and had a groupeshoot today. For the first time I actually was on top at the shoot from start to end. Knew what I had to do because of the class! THANKS!
Lindsay is the Master of Light and Fashion Photography. This class is awesome. It really helped me a lot with group pose!.
What a brilliant, fast, well-organized, packed-with-useful-info class!! Lindsay is amazing.
I love Lindsay's energy! She's able to explain theories in plain English. I learned a lot in this course and would recommend it for sure!
I have several of Lindsay's course and was lucky enough to see her at the Photography show in Birmingham (UK) earlier this year. I think this course is one of my favorites and has so many "group" shot tips & explanations that it's a no-brainier to any photographer to buy this it. It's great 10/10.
I really love her! She is the best instructor and she makes everything easier to understand.
I got do much out of this course, not just for shooting, but posing myself! I’m getting old, it’s hard to get a good selfie! Seriously though, this starts with epuipment, goes through settings, clearly shows what doesn’t work and why, and what does work and why. This is the second Lindsay course I’ve watched this week, and I’m anazed by what I’m retaining. Lindsay spells it out for anyone to understand, I highly recommend this class, and any class Lindsay teaches. I already have another lined up to watch! Simply brilliant, value for money even if it wasn’t on sale.
Lots of good information and Lindsay is a really great instructor but what is with that dress!!!
The course is great. Thank you, Lindsay :)
Depending on where you stand with your knowledge of studio photography, you may find this tutorial as a repetition of the very basics of photography.
I am not going to diss the course, as Lindsay is a great resource for posing, which is why I purchased it. And it paid for itself a few times over, so thank you Lindsay. BUT, I really struggle with incorrect technical information being put out there, so I feel a need to correct it. In the lesson on Depth of Field, Lindsay incorrectly states that longer lenses from further away have less depth of field. This is technically incorrect. A 50mm lens from 6 feet away at F8 has a DOF of 2.11 ft. A 100mm lens from 12 feet away (the doubling of focal length requires a doubling of distance in order to achieve the same perspective and identical shot) has a DOF of 2.06 ft. a difference of 0.6 inches. Where things get tricky is that most longer lenses will require a bigger aperture in order to allow more light in from that distance. ALL ELSE BEING EQUAL, there is no difference in DOF between long and short lenses when trying to get the same perspective using the same amount of light.
This class was very helpful to me to understand what I need to know to shoot groups. I have taken several of Lindsay's courses and Lindsay Adler is a top-notch instructor. If you're wondering about shooting groups, this is a great course to take!
I did really enjoy her class and learned a lot! Only downfall was that I wanted more on posing large groups....like 16 or more. Other than that, it was great and worth every cent!
Of course, this course has a lot of info but the instructor was way too fast. May be there is a time constraint that the instructor had to finish the course in certain time.. One has to watch it a couple of times, at least, to get the information. Thanks Ramesh
